Professional gimbal for phone, action cam or mirrorless camera
I purchased this gimbal to take action footage of runners and training highlights for clients. The gimbal is incredibly sturdy and has pretty much every feature needed to take professionally stabilized footage. It has 3 axis stabilization as well as the ability to center and follow an object. The included carbon fiber monopod with tripod foot is lightweight and works great to place the gimbal on the ground to take ground footage. Many times, I'm following my clients and recording their movement. The footage would be shaky; this gimbal gets the video rock solid and I'm able to publish the professional footage that clearly shows my client's improvement through their training. There are some things to keep in mind. This is a professional gimbal and has a barrage of features that you can play with. I've only only used a handful that enabled me to take photo and videos while on a trail run - stabilization, pan, tilt, follow, etc. The gimbal isn't intended for a DSLR. I mounted my DSLR to see if it would work and there was just not enough clearance to properly mount it. My phone and action camera easily fit onto the camera. The mount is well thought out and doesn't accidentally press on the side buttons on your phone (see picture). One thing that annoyed me was the set screw for the mount. It requires an allen key (hex) to tighten. I ended up replacing this set screw with a common tripod mount set screw that doesn't require the hex tool to tighten. All in all, the gimbal is incredibly sturdy and produces professional quality stabilized video. There are more features that I would ever need and the included monopod is convenient. It's now my standard tool for taking action video for my running clients.

Best phone gimbal out there!
Ive had a lot of gimbals, and this hands down puts everybody to shame. Its got the features of a larger camera gimbal, but at the size for a cell phone.I absolutely LOVE the digital handle with all the options and controls. It helps get lower shots and just a completely different level of motion with this setup. The arms are strong and very responsive. Good battery life and all the features you'd expect from a higher end gimbal. At the end of the day, this has everything you could ever ask for and more from a cell phone gimbal. Charging and syncing is easy. Feiyutech never disappoints and this is another win in their column!Even their case has been upgraded, the opposite side now has a velcro strap to hold in anything you need, without having to create a slot or worrying about it hitting the gimbal.

Light but sturdy.
The media could not be loaded. This gimbal has a lot of power for holding midweight camera rigs. I’ll just be using iPhone on this using its included bracket and it’s SOOO smooth. And quiet! You don’t hear the motor whine like others. I would recommend this.

COULD work with the Canon R5
I have been a long time Ronin-S user. I remember being blown away with each feature set that came out and improved my gimbals. Over time, I used them less and less with my larger cameras, and started using specialized cameras and lenses for gimbal work. This meant my gimbals got smaller and I was more interested in the time it took to balance and shoot.I was really impressed last year with how far FeiyuTech has come in catching up with their competitors. Not only has the software and interface gotten better, but their tech has improved by leaps and bounds. There are still some quirks that are worth dealing with when it comes to the interface because the hardware has gotten that good.I wanted to use this both an iPhone Pro 15 and a Fuji mirrorless camera. I saw that the R5 was not compatible so I figured I would retire it from gimbal work and slim down my kit. Spec-wise, this has plenty of payload to handle the Canon R5 and any of their STM prime lenses. I tried the 16mm, 50mm, 35mm and 85mm without issue. You can just barely mount each one and get the horizontal bracket at max extension to balance out. A counterweight for the 85mm probably saves you some gimbal wear. All functions worked with the app and controls like the larger SCORP-2 might function. Just know that you are maxed out in your balance and can, depending on lens or filter setup, strike the arms on a full rotate or extension move. That just means I can play with the R5 when I absolutely need the resolution! Just, lesser functionality when it comes to adding a follow-focus, matte box, or heavier filters. The rings for adjusting the arms are intuitive and convenient. I like the locking pins when working on balancing. I actually like that the default orientation is portrait as this gears the gimbal more toward live feeds and social media using smaller cameras. The screen interface is a little wonky (like figuring out how to go back in the menu and the slight lag) but having a dedicated app for controls makes up for it in using an external device. The magnetic camera light was a fun bonus and you can squeeze the airtight carbon-extension pole into the included hard case, even though that probably isn't recommended. My only really complaint is the markings on the arms and plates when balancing the gimbal. There is no 0 marking on the corresponding part so there is no reference where to line up the markings. They hand in theory, but without a set 0 or lines on the opposite part that you're sliding the plate in, they're near worthless. I took some time and a square to make white markings that will speed up my balancing in the future. Also, this means there isn't a micro-adjustment screw to gently crawl the plates. You can get close to perfect, but never perfect, so there will always be some leeway in balancing.Outside of that, read the manual thouroughly online so you don't miss any settings for features. I noticed that if my camera was in the wrong mode, the automated Timelapse shutter trigger was off and might be something I wouldn't notice until post. For the price, this is an absolutely killer piece of kit!
