I bought a 2 pack for just $13 and change with free shipping. Quite a bargain! Well, not really. I think the reason this purchase was so inexpensive is that the product is defective. The capsules do not give adequate color. The pictures of my samples show the results. In the photo with 4 samples, all four samples were very pale as initially mixed. So, I added a bit of pulverized lime to the one on the left and coffee grounds to the one on the right just to see if there would be a definite alkaline or acid reaction. The middle two samples are the original mixes. The photo of the single sample was done yesterday. I have no idea how to read that result. It just has no color. BTW, the capsules were fresh and dry and were fairly easy to pull apart. But the contents of those capsules are defective and do not give adequate color. I've used this product for years, purchased at my local garden center and have never had this problem. The color has always been good and relatively easy to compare with the color chart.
