The Drunken Gnome Tillandsia Air Plant Food and Fertilizer for Enhanced Growth, Color and Blooms (8 oz Plus Mister)

I have a large collection of air plants and I love watching them thrive! I decided to give this food a try and so far so good! On the days my plants don’t get a long bath in the kitchen sink, they get misted with water, and about once a week I’ll also mist them with air plant food. I really like these misters from drunken gnome, it produces a perfect mist. It comes out super fine and light and moistens the plants just the way I want. Other misters I’ve used tend to mist more than just the intended plants, leaving me to constantly worry about overspray and where it’s landing. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars rather than 5 is due to the bottle design. It’s a short bottle which I expected for an 8-oz capacity, but I find the design of the bottle difficult to work with. First, the bottle is a shiny white plastic which is slippery and not easy or comfortable to grip or hang onto. But more importantly, if I can grip the bottle where I should, I can’t reach the trigger because it’s placed too high (and I have long fingers). In order to properly squeeze the trigger, I need to move my hand too high up on the bottle (where it starts to narrow at the top). Now I can squeeze the trigger but have zero grip on the bottle which at that point wants to slide right out of my hand. I suppose I could try wrapping the bottle with some grippy tape, but that still doesn’t fix the trigger being too high. I’ll still use this product until it’s all gone, but I’m afraid I’ll need a better designed bottle for any future purchases.

The thing is, how do you know it really works? Our air plants don't seem worse off, certainly, but there hasn't been any amazing improvement, either. My girlfriend thinks this stuff works, and she'd know better than I would. It seems like a good idea and isn't hurting them. Probably it's helping them. They aren't going to double in size in a month, or anything, and either you're carefully watering your air plants or you aren't, so . . . .If we manage to use it all up, we'll buy some more, I think. That's a pretty good endorsement.

The photo needs to be changed for the water mister bottle. I was very unhappy when it came with the little push top instead of the one shown. I have arthritis in my hands and actually needed to have the lever top shown. I kept it for the fertilizer for my plant.I didn't pay attention to an earlier review stating the same problem. Please read the reviews and pay attention if the type of pump is important to you!

They grow so slow I can’t tell yet if it’s working or not. They do look extra .... perky? Lol! So, I can’t say whether or not it works yet but I’m assuming since it’s a perfect ratio of NPK for the plants & what they need for feedings.I am spraying once every two weeks during the growing season while I’m doing their weekly watering . So with that being said, I look forward to seeing some really fast slow growing air plants in my collection now that I’m feeding them:)P.S. It has a fine mister to the bottle which is perfect for coverage.

Easy to use, just spray on the air plants. I treat them once a week or so and my plants are doing well.

Product itself was fine for my plants, but the spray pump was cracked. I had to find another container to put everything in so I could use the product.
