I found that these fit okay but they say thermal and they are kind of just regular thickness to me. They stretch well and the color is good.

These Ski socks for kids are very nice and long. The design is sewn into the socks -- not just cheaply printed on. I ordered the Size "5-7 Years" in the "Reindeer 9223" pattern and received three pairs which were shrink-wrapped together inside one package.I ordered these socks for my 6-year-old grandson who likes to snow ski. I always found it difficult to find long, "knee-high socks" (as we used to call them) for kids. Wearing the normal low rise or ankle socks just are not good enough when your child is active in any cold weather outdoor (or indoor) sports, such as snowboarding, skiing, ice skating or playing ice hockey, etc. It is important to stay warm during such sports and these socks should help keep his feet and legs warm.On the inside of the 5 to 7 year old size socks, it says "16-18" which refers to the length of the sole of the sock in centimeters. 16-18 centimeters translates roughly to 6.25" to 7.00", so these socks fit perfectly! He hasn't worn them out skiing yet, but based on the thickness of the socks, I feel pretty confident that these are better than any other socks we have for him, and they should help to keep him warm and help to avoid any blistering from wearing ski boots.I'm glad I stumbled upon these socks and, for just about $6.00 per pair, it's a great value!

Most ski socks are so thick, their best worn when snowboarding or skiing or snow tubing. However, we haven’t had snow yet but temperature has already dropped to freezing. These are the perfect every day socks for my son when playing outside in the playground or the backyard or soccer. These are not too thick like most ski socks, which I am glad. But they’re also not too thin like trouser socks. So this is just the perfect thickness for every day socks with some warmth and thickness for outdoor play.

Spend the money on Smartwool. These were duds.

I got these for the kids, cause we live in the cold north.They work well, they are thick, but not so thick that you can't wear them with regular shoes and boots, and they are nice and long to cover the whole calf.They fit well, and seem to be comfortable for them!

These are good, warm winter socks. My son is 6 and will be 7 in 2 months. He's 4'2" with a thin build. They fit him fine. The heel part of the sock isn't strongly defined so the socks don't have a specific shoe size that it caters to. As long as the child's foot is in that range the socks should work. My son likes the socks a lot. I told him to take them off so we could put them away and he wanted to keep them on.
