Best case I ever bought!
I purchased this case back in Nov in anticipation of my upgrade. I am now proceeding to put it together. This case is SOLID, heavy, and the designers thought of everything! I can't say enough good things about this case. I did have a little trouble with a couple of thumbscrews to take the cover off the power supply area. (Had to use a flat-head). Haven't yet figured out how to get the cages out for the optical and the hdd. There is a case for all screws, plenty of cable management options. It is the best case I have ever used! That is saying a lot considering I used to only buy Antec.

Very nice case!!
If this case was a car it would be a Cadillac. I love this thing, it's so roomy with great looks and design. Excellent cable management, nice older school look with modern features... no regrets here. I did however find one thing I didn't like about it and it's minor. The thumb screws for the side glass could have been a tad longer. They're really shorter than they should be, kind of hard to get started... only 2 1/2 threads long. It's not a killer for the 5 star rating I give it so I guess I'll deal with it. Highly recommend this case, just know it's not a mid tower, this thing is quite large. If you got the desk space and your pocket is burning then by all means get it... you won't regret it. Awesome case no doubt!! It's the one true time my 5 star rating is a full 5 stars then some... I'd give it a ten if I could.

Fabulous case. Fits all my needs and more
This case is so very well made. I felt like I was back in the 70's and receiving a product of choice. They packed the box. Instead of styrofoam it was the layered foam and that was covered by cardboard with handles part way down which made it much easier to get out of the shipping box.. All of the accessories were in a small cardboard box inside of the case, and then inside that, I found a divided folded lid plastic box inside with all the screws.. Sooooooooo very nice.. It comes with extra tie down straps of two lengths.. The manual is an actual book.. instead of a cheap folded unreadable piece of paper. This is a large case folks, a true full tower.. It has fabulous wire management and pots of room. The cover on the power supply is removed by three thumbscrews with optional Phillips and then you slide it forward off of the three rubber grommeted screws. Fans Out The Wazoo!!! It comes with 2 fans.. One mounted in the front and one on the back, but can hold a lot more. 6 main drive bays and up to 5 2.5" drive mounts with 2 included chassis for the 2.5" size. The rails are thoughtfully made with folding lever clamps to hold the drives in the rails and an additional screw each side if you really want to. This monster of a case has pots of room for a proper custom water cooler or just an AIO.. of several sizes.. Marvellously built and still of the minimalist styling and meant for RGB. The front is plastic and is rather easy to pop off for cleaning.. Filters on the top, underneath, and in front.. It comes with 3 fans.. 2 x 140mm, and 1 x 120mm.I would have preferred the power button and hard drive light to have been front mounted, but it is ok.. The HDD light is very tiny and white in color and the power button shines soft blue. I ended up having to use the front panel RGB button to light up the pump, ( might change that up later ) The power button and the pump are different colors.. when the pump is purple, the bower button is gold.. That's not very sensible. it was also rather difficult to get the 140mm fan halos on when using the Phanteks halos. I finally managed it.. and it looks marvellous. I rather liked their halos because the lighted ring is totally behind the frame, so it is not glaring. There is one more thing.. The paint on the back panel is almost completely smooth and the kind which will scar if scratched (which I did by accident with my fingernail after cleaning it off carefully... it is fortunately mostly unnoticeable), so be careful with that.. Phanteks ought to have made it hard matte or satin enamel in a stippled kind of bumpy finish instead.. I don't mind, but that would have been preferred. All in all... this case is a winner, and I'm grateful to also have found one with both lots of drive space, and also more than one or none.. 5.25" bays.. I don'[t use a TV, save for the computer, and I still watch bluray and the like, and I also like to back up my PC to hard copy... I had to give up my front USB-c though because this case had no 3.5" front port.. This is ok... There is still one on the back I can accommodate later.I just LOOOOOVE all the RGB effects, and as you all can tell from the pictures.. My's a Purple freak. As the dinkies say, " OMG!! It's All Puuuuurkle!! " * Chuckles * Simply delightful.. And thanks to the extra support?? I will eventually make a custom hard pipe water cooling system and it will look FaBuLoUs!...This case is worthy of me taking pictures... that's for sure... It may have the brushed aluminium look to the front (which is easy to pop off for cleaning plastic, but the rest of the body is solid steel and very sturdy.. Hmmm What else.. Will have to think about it and add later.. TG it was also not ridiculously overpriced as so many things are both these days, and now.. Thank you Auntie.. for such a fabulous gift.It was an utter joy to take my time and do a perfect build... Thank you Phanteks, for valuing quality over quantity, and for a reasonable price. It says you all value us as customers, as well as your products...

Very nice box
My requirements for a new case severely limited the number of choices available, the most important requirements being that the case is capable of E-ATX motherboards, it will easily fit a Corsair H115i (preferably top-mounted), multiple internal hard drive bays, and that it has external 5.25" drive bays for my Blu-ray burner. Any of these requirements individually would limit my choices, but all requirements together made it difficult to even find any choices. This Phanteks case made the (very) short list. Before ordering, I emailed Phanteks to verify the Corsair radiator would fit on the top without removing a drive bay or anything, and they got back to me within 12 hours (kudos to their support department).I've been assembling new systems for 24 years, and have experienced some horrible cases and some impressive cases. My last two personal systems have gone inside an Antec DF-85, which was quite versatile but didn't support E-ATX. My main HTPC is in a Silverstone LC17, and the other HTPC is in a Cooler Master. I had not heard of Phanteks before, and because of the price, I was expecting a mediocre (or even disappointing) experience.Unboxing for the first time, I realized this Phanteks seemed just as heavy as my Antec. Unlike my Antec, this Phanteks is not flashy and/or gaudy looking, it has a very subdued yet attractive appearance: function with style. Opened the tempered glass sidepanel and pulled out the parts box, and found that the screws are all separated inside a plastic compartment organizer case...just, wow. Every other case I've unboxed came with mixed screws in a ziplock baggie, this was a very nice touch. I assumed there had to be a lot of thin metal at this price point, but the only thing that had any give, or could possibly be easily bent, was the backplate...but even that wasn't any thinner than any other backplate I've used.I've included pictures to show that my radiator easily fit top-mounted with room to spare, I was still able to utilize the cable management holes at the top of the motherboard, and my E-ATX mobo also did not infringe too far on the cable holes to the side, either. Behind the other side panel is a somewhat elaborate cable system already in place for fans/fanhub and some power, etc. The velcro cable ties made it easy to add/re-route cables. Mounting rails for the hard drives are somewhat-thin plastic, but well designed for fast install. One good test to determine the quality of a computer case is the number of cuts to the hands during assembly: it was 0. Edges are all either rounded or not sharp.I normally don't think of power buttons when evaluating a case. The Phanteks power button is on the top instead of on the front (next to everything else), so there's no bending over or looking for it when first sitting down...or accidentally pushing the reset button. And it's about three times the size of most power buttons. In addition it's recessed, so I can plug my phone or tablet into the front USB port and sit my device on the top without triggering the button. HD activity LED is also on top. I don't like having all the buttons plus USB ports on the top like it is with other cases, but having just the power button is welcome. It's not all sunshine and rose petals...there is always something. In this situation, it's the external drive bay depth: my optical drive and card reader both are slightly recessed when installed, they're not flush with the front plate. It's not much, not too noticeable. I could probably just remove the included plastic drive bay locks and use screws to fine-adjust the depth. There are other notable touches, such as the PSU shroud, removable drive bays, magnetic dust filter on the top and slide filters on the bottom, included fans, etc. This case was so nice to work with, highly versatile, is very attractive, well designed, and quality metal. So I'm still shell-shocked about the price...
