Oxford Word Skills: Basic: Student's Pack (Book and CD-ROM)

I recently bought the whole series of three Oxford Word Skills to repeat the important vocabulary and close existing gaps(I am not a native speaker). Having done half of the first volume I think I am allowed to say that working with Oxford Word Skills is pure fun and lasting education. The text material is transparent, neatly arranged and, as mentioned, fun to work with. Sections for irregular verbs, adjectives, and nouns add to the understanding as do the practical exercises. I can highly recommend these books. Due to my level I am quickly making progress so I am just wondering at which point it will get sticky :-)

It is a great book for improving vocabulary. All topics are in good order and can help children improve their English learning, usage of basic words and vocabulary skills. I would highly recommend this book for any child who wants to improve vocabulary.

日本の単語帳のようなものを想像していましたが、全然違いました。『速読英単語』に似ていると評価されている方もいらっしゃいますが、それとも少し違うと思います。ビジュアル面は中学校の英語の教科書みたいです。カラフルで、イラストや写真がいっぱい載っていて…。単語のレベル的にも中学英語レベルだと思います。 この本のいいところは、その単語を使った表現の仕方まで教えてくれるところです。そのための設問までついています。この点が日本の単語帳とは違うところで、単語帳と英語表現問題集との役割を兼ね備えたものといってしまってよいと思います。 正直、最初にページを開いたときは、Basicから始める必要はなかったかなと思いました。しかし、少し読んでみると意外と知らない表現があって、「へ〜」と思うことが結構あります（米語にはない表現があることもその一因ですが）。大学入試やTOEICで点は取れるけど、会話となると尻込みしてしまうという人が、もう一度自分の英語を洗いなおすのに有用であると思います。 あとは、RPを学べる点もメリットですかね。この点は好みの問題ですが、きれいなRPを発音できるようになれば、結構格調高い英語になります（アメリカ人には嫌われますが）。

Estoy haciendo el A2 de inglés y me han mandado comprar este libro de ejercicios básicos para el estudiante. El libro está muy bien y ayuda bastante, en Amazon está mas barato que en otras librerías y el envío como siempre ha sido genial. Es un poco fino para el precio que tiene pero estos libros de inglés son todos con este precio. Viene con un CD Rom para el pc.
