My Jeep was transformed into an off road beast
Could not be happier, this locker is amazing, this is my second non-slip, I got one for the rear differential and this is for the front so now my Jeep is double locked, the cost is very reasonable and the installation was fairly simple taking me a couple of hours to complete. Also, they are virtually invisible while driving on road because they have extra slack to differentiate the wheels, they are also easier on the universal joints and steering components while off road. In short, I love both of them and how my Jeep does on the trail, it can do things I could never imagine doing.

Great locker, does what it should!
I installed this locker in my 1993 Ford F-150 2wd. It replaced the spider gears and side gears of the “open” factory 8.8” 3.08 Ford differential. I really like the concept of having both rear axles locked together and pulling at all times except when the locker disengages while making a turn. There is sometimes a small “clunk” sound from the rear end after straightening out after a turn when the locker reengages itself, but it operates mostly unnoticed. The additional traction provided by the locker is hard to imagine until you experience it in a vehicle you’ve previously driven for many years without it. I ordered the locker from Amazon and the first one I received was for 28-spline axles even though what I ordered was for 31-spline axles. I exchanged it for the correct one and had most of it installed only to realize that one part in the second locker kit was too long and wouldn’t work. Turns out it was an incorrect part containing the part number of the correct part from the factory! I know, pretty unbelievable, but it happened. After receiving the correct part, (active spacer), I managed to complete the installation. Take your time, use some common sense and good reasoning as you follow the directions and everything will be okay. I did find that making some match marks with a Sharpie on the O.D. of the couplers and drivers helps tremendously with realignment if they become unmeshed during installation. When use of a “wedge” is mentioned in the instructions it means you must pry gently with a flat-tip screwdriver in the narrow space between the ring gear-side and passenger-side driver/coupler assemblies in order to keep both sides’ teeth in mesh. This is critical when the carrier is being rotated around for the spring installation. I know this all sounds complicated and difficult, but if you’re mechanically inclined and like to fix things it’s really not and you can do this. I had never been inside a differential before at all before installing this locker. Good luck!

Pretty dang cool
For $400ish I now have a "locker" in my D30. I don't think I've heard it once. Takes a sec to get used to front end locked up when turning but I would definitely recommend. My buddy watched a Yt video and installed in his carport in an hour or so. Makes a big difference on the rocks.

Works well in E350 van
I installed this in a Dana 60 in a E350 van almost a year. It has worked very well for me.I don’t really notice it there. When shifting between forward and reverse, you can feel a bit of looseness in the drive train, as it unlocks and then locks up in the other direction. I noticed a very slight pull towards straight in curves when it was first installed, but only because I was looking for it. I don’t notice it at all now. I installed a locker because the van got stuck a couple times on muddy dirt roads. The alternate was to buy a 4x4 truck, so this saved $60k. I’ll get a 4x4 when this 1995 van dies, but the 7.3 diesel is still going strong so it may be awhile .

Easy to install, instructions a bit off
Great product, super quiet operation, clunks very very infrequently, I forget that I’m driving a locker. Easy to install, clearances are tiiiight but work. There’s discrepancy in the instructions about the c clip slots - for a gm 10 bolt it said I should only have one slotted driver but I had two. I called the tech line and he said it was fine that kits now come with two slotted drivers and the c clips can install into both slots. With previous kits you used to have to “build” the c-clip into the driver side locker driver, but now both drivers have slots for c clips to install into, it does not matter which version you have.
