This diagnostic tool is a game-changer, especially when working on Volvo, Freightliner, Peterbilt, and Kenworth trucks. We have all of those on our yard. All of our units are 2021 and newer. We are now empowered to self-diagnose issues and potential problems, enabling us to make some repairs ourselves confidently. Beyond cost savings, it enables me to reset/clear codes, make system adjustments so far saving us quite a bit of money. We are no longer beholden to have the local shop perform diagnosis which lately is running hundreds of dollars an hour. DO not buy this. I scanned a truck with the check transmission light on and this scanner said no codes. Checked with a snap-on scanner and it came back with 3 active and 7 pending codes.

I’m a full time independent mobile heavy duty mechanic. This unit has lots of options and programs available. However, after lots of buffering, most options that are available will say “ecu doesn’t support this function” I’ve tried to get into several Allison transmissions and it just buffers with no luck. And of the 4 John Deere tractors I’ve tried to connect to I’ve not been able to get connected to the ecu even though all model and engine options appear on the display of the scanner.Ive had ok luck on the light and med duty vehicles. And real basic info can be gathered and few bi-directional tests are supported on the heavy duty side.All in all, not real impressed and actually pretty bummed I didn’t get a pro level scanner and diag. program.

This HD Heavy Duty truck scanner is probably one of the coolest and most useful tools I have in my garage. Whenever one of my Uncle’s trucks or sprinter vans have a light go off this thing is a life saver. The device itself is really well made and the touchscreen is huge and sensitive. There are a whole bunch of different engine diagnostic tests and options including reading/resetting codes, it takes screenshots so you can show another mechanic for a 2nd opinion, and it has a wide variety of makes/models it’s compatible with. I would highly recommend this diagnostic tool to anyone working on trucks or vans!

This heavy duty touchscreen scanner is used for J1939, 1708, or J1587 protocols. Scanner is capable of working with OBD2 vehicles as well. Scanner has a 7 inch touch screen and 6 HD adapters depending on vehicle make. Comes with a nice zippered and padded case. High end scanner with bi-directional controls and works with 12 or 24 volt systems. Price point for this item is considered somewhat high for this item.
