Inexpensive but excekllent!
This inexpensive, functional & well fitting AFO brace turned out to be near perfect for my drop foot accompanied by a weak ankle. In addition to supporting my drop foot, it also provides support for my ankle that's NOW NO LONGER prone to twist. I would not have believed it after trying numerous others (including an $800+ carbon fiber brace). Other buyer comments about this particular brace is difficulty of fitting/comfort. I believe that's because buyers do not realize that the bottom piece should be placed UNDER the shoe's insole. This issue could be easily solved if the manufacturer included instructions/guidelines, which they unfortunately DON'T.

Life changing!🤗
I love this! It only took about two years of battling severe foot drop in my left foot and slight foot drop in my right, after lumbar surgery #2. I had never even heard of this simple, yet effective, device! Until . . . A physical therapist I recently consulted with suggested giving this a try. With his simple explanation of its intended purpose . . . I couldn't open my Amazon account fast enough! I decided to start with my left, being the worst. After receiving, fitting, and taking just a few steps . . . My "slight" foot drop on my right was highlighted! Sooo . . Off to Amazon to order it's mate! I honestly feel bionic and free to walk without fear of public gymnastics due to the toe of my shoe dragging, causing my tripping, falling, and . . . I highly recommend trying this if you struggle with foot drop problems! I haven't experienced any problems with fit or comfort, at all! I would think any minor irritation could be simply resolved with the strategic placement of gauze. Imho, that would be an easy trade for an amazingly helpful, simple, reasonably priced . . . Bionic Feet! Im so excited to experience walking confidently again! After years of struggle, doctors, surgeons, and "specialists" . . . I couldn't be more greatful to my very knowledgeable, well educated, focused, specialist, who first informed me of this life changing invention! . . My Physical Therapist! All of the education in the world is useless when not applied! If for some reason this does not help your foot drop it's a simple return. My life has changed . . . For less than $100!😁

Foot plate a problem
I keep hoping that I will find a light brace that will help with my drop foot and neuropathy. I only had to take one look and know that this brace was not going to help. Why?1. The very, very narrow plate for the bottom of the foot will cut into the sides of wide and/or swollen feet.2. The brace arrived with no instructions except for the lines on the bottom of the toe for cutting.3. Cutting will not be easy without heavy scissors or clippers and, after cutting the edges will have to be sanded to avoid cuts when worn.4. The bottom plate is smooth, hard plastic. It slides in socks, on carpet...it slides.5. The bottom strap is a loose velcro strip with a small round velcro sticky glue tab for attaching to the brace. It really doesn't do much to brace the leg and foot. It is just kind of there.Oddly, the top part brace that fits the calf is well padded and comfortable. The velcro is extra-long and it is easy to attach.I have tried a lot of braces and wraps and I could immediately see that the foot plate would be the cause of multiple problems I didn't even attempt to cut or wear it. I didn't want to end up on the floor because of the slick plate going out from under me.If this brace works for you, great. But it is not for me. Returned..

Near perfect brace
This is the best brace I have found at an affordable price! It fully supports my drop foot and makes walking easy again. The straps and brace itself seem very durable, built to last. I would give this brace 5 stars but I had to settle for 4 because it is a little difficult to slip in and out of my shoes, and I have big shoes. I didn’t even need to cut down the base part, my insoles are actually bigger than it (size 13M). While it makes walking easy, whenever I begin to step with my brace foot (left) the back of the brace digs into my heel/Achilles. I can’t quite figure out how to get it to stop because sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know if it’s because of certain shoes or the way I strap it to my shin but it can be very painful. I’m buying a pad to stick to it to hopefully ease the pressure.

Not Great for Drop Foot
I really wanted these braces to work, but ultimately, they were not a good fit for me.I suffer from drop foot in both feet as I recover from a head injury. I read some other reviewers’ comments who advised these were helpful for this ailment, so I was hopeful when I ordered them.As I have drop foot in both feet, I ordered two of these braces. Although they arrived within a few days of each other, I knew they wouldn’t work for me immediately.First, they really don’t offer any ankle support, which is where I really need it. Second, the women’s version was too small. The foot plate was far too short (I’m a women’s size 10), and the plastic area where you place your heel was far too narrow for comfort. I have very narrow feet, so I see these being too small for anyone with normal feet.If I were to purchase these again, I would definitely recommend the men’s iteration. They can be trimmed down to size if too large/long in the foot plate area. The top strap is nice, but the strap above your foot really doesn’t do anything as far as support.Hopefully these work for your needs, but they were of no help for my dual drop foot.

Impossible to use
Unfortunately did not work for me. If you have skinny calves it might work. However you will have to completely loosen your laces in order to get your feet into your shoe with them installed according to directions. The padding around the calf is unnecessarily thick. As far as durability is concerned it looks as if it would hold up well, but not sure because was unable to get my feet into my shoes with them. If you have smaller calves and dont mind excessive trouble to make it work, than maybe they'll be OK for you.
