I JUST received The GOYLSER Stair Carpet Treads & couldn’t wait to place them. They are very attractive & look great on my white carpeted staircase. I don’t know how they’ll hold up after time or how well they wash but as of now I really like them. The reason for 4 stars & my only complaint is that the size noted in the description is not quite accurate. The actual size is 29.5x8 (not 30x8). Believe me when I tell you that 1/2 inch DOES matter.

They move so you will have to buy adhesive. If you fur babies that shed this is not a good product for them. They are easy to wash but not to vacuum as dog hair, dirt, or crumbs from the two year old to not come out.

I got these for my elderly parents that have wooden stairs in the house and I'm always afraid of them falling. My dad fell so I ordered these and of course they didn't work. I had to find another brand/set that worked. These slide and move as you step on them. Waste of money!

Recently I moved to a house with hardwood floors throughout, including the stairs from the main floor to the second floor. Myself, my housemate, and my housemate's kids have all had a quick slip and slide down the stairs at least once a piece, just because the floors are slick and our socks have no grip. The oldest kid did sprain her wrist really bad catching herself on the 1 railing the stair well has.I did get everyone nice, grippy slippers for Christmas, but even then, each of us has stumbled a bit, but luckily not fallen, after the slipper gifting. Since we are renting, I needed solutions to slippy stairs that is impermanent/easily removeable without damaging the floors.These mats are what I needed. I was actually hoping for rubber all around, but the carpet/plush top is fine. It's short pile, but a little slick to the touch, so I think wearing slippers is still going to be a wiser choice than not. The bottoms of the mats are all rubber, and they stick almost as if they are attached with adhesive. They produce enough friction that they just STAY PUT, no matter what kind of step is taken on them.I put them on my stairs without sweeping or cleaning them with the wood oil soap I have, because I really didn't want to, and I didn't need to. When I wash the floors I am wondering how well these will stick to clean, dry floors. The mats themselves could be taken out and beaten like any throw rug/shoe mat, and I bet they could wash in a machine, too, but maybe on a low-heat setting. Drying might be the tricky bit, if you are machine washing and drying. There are 15 of the silly things, so beating 15 mats out every so often might be a bit much, or could be very therapeutic and a great way to get out some repressed emotions.Anyway, these are surprisingly effective, and extraordinarily easy to install. I wouldn't even call it an installation, since all I did was plonk them onto the step treads, and they were in place.

I had really high hopes for these based off previous reviews. I have to say that they’re just okay. They do slide around (yes I cleaned the stairs first) and are impossible to vacuum with my Dyson V15. Even on low suction these things move too much to vacuum. Guess I’ll have to try the washing machine since the suede-like material picks up everything. On the upside they don’t move much when my dog uses them, which is why we got them so. Would prefer adhesive but we are renting.
