2010 Mitsubishi Lancer
Works great! Cleaned four fuel injectors on a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer. Here's how I did it: purchase this item with two cans of STA-BIL Carb/Parts & Choke Cleaner. Remove all four fuel injectors from the fuel rail. Clean the outside of each injector thoroughly with the STA-BIL. Follow the directions to assemble this item. It attached easily to the car battery. Put it on mode 5, plug the leads into the first fuel injector and press the Pulse button. You will hear the injector clicking repeatedly until you press the Pulse button again. Now, remove the trigger from the second can of STA-BIL. This will be the can used with this device to clean the inside of each injector. Remove the original o-ring from the first injector and replace with the black o-ring included with this item. Find the best fitting adapter and slide the fuel injector into it. Place the adapter on top of the can of STA-BIL (with the trigger now removed). Pulse the injector so it begins clicking and simultaneously spray STA-BIL through the adapter and into the clicking fuel injector. It should start coming out as a consistent mist after just a few seconds. Spray into a bucket to avoid saturating the ground or your garage floor. Repeat for the remaining fuel injectors. 15 year old car runs great after this treatment! Much better acceleration.

Maybe Add A Foot Pedal.. Great product..2nd Purchase
This is a good product to test your Fuel injectors & you can clean it as well. For the price it was worth it to me.. The only thing I would suggest the company to make for this product that would make it a lot easier to use is a food pedal switch.. I modified the wires that goes to the 12 Volt Battery on my first one I had bought and it made it so much easier. I recently purchase the green one with a matching green 12v battery and will probably do the same for the one I will be receiving today. Because the down side of not having a foot pedal is you have to press the pulse mode for power and hold the injector in the adapter and try to prevent it spraying out the bottom of the injector adapter that connect to the can. Again My on/off switch “Foot Pedal” made it so much easier to use this product from experience of using this tool. Pretty Light weight almost feels empty.Butnit gets the job done. Do not get any cleaner on your machine it will ruin the plastic cover.I made a pressurized spray bottle similar to a weed killer spray canister that you pump and re used the cleaner when it was re useable and modified the fuel injector adapter to connect to the sprayer.

reliable budget friendly tool
Ideal for routine injector maintenance, restoring fuel efficiency or for diagnosing misfires or poor engine performance. Paired with compatible cleaning solution and pressurized cannister or air compressor, it effectively restore fuel flow. This tool is very much user friendly with clear label and step by step instructions. Kit offers excellent value for the price, considering what professional shops charge for fuel injector cleaning services. For DIY guys who frequently work on vehicles, it pays for itself in just one use.

Minimal directions and cheap. Not worth money.
Minimal directions, words are so small they’re hard to see. Don’t say how everything goes together for the test. Product is cheaply made.

Fuel injector cleaner/tester- you need this tool!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is what you need to clean your high pressure fuel injectors!! Fixed a 2016 hyundai accent that was running awful, by pulling out the injectors and cleaning with this unit. do yourself a favor and use the b12 chemicals! run that through your injectors, and save yourself $$$. I recommend doing this BEFORE you take your car into see the mechanic! Oh and the intake manifold on the Hyundai Accents- pita!!! but eventually I got it running right!!

Works, and is useful. Many carb cleaner cans will leak...one style of can will not leak.
I used this to test and clean my fuel injectors as part of an engine rebuild. The product worked well and I recommend it...but I do have some notes:1) The "cleaning adapters" let you insert a fuel injector, and then place the adapter and injector on a can of carburetor cleaner. I tried 4 different brands of cleaners. Most leaked between the cleaning adapter and the can. One brand (STA-BIL) did not leak: it has a different type of button on the can (a large "comfort" button), with a 4mm stem underneath. The other brands (O'Reilly, et al) have a smaller "standard" button with a 3.25mm stem underneath. These leak. This is despite using the o-rings that come with this tool.In other words, to prevent leaking the stem of the can must be 4mm to achieve a tight fit in the adapter. The provided o-rings do not prevent leaking when using a smaller 3.25mm stem that does not fit snuggly into the adapter. This is an inconvenience, but not an insurmountable problem.2) When using the STA-BIL carb cleaner that fit tightly into the adapter, it maintained a lot of pressure (a good thing)...but is hard to hold together when the fuel injector is closed. You will probably want to set the tester to a continuous mode, start the testing, and then spray the cleaner. (If you try to start spraying the cleaner first, you will have trouble holding the injector, adapter, and can together while initiating the testing.)3) The modes are basically: Off; Low Power: single cycle, short burst, long burst, continuous; and High Power: single cycle, short burst, long burst, continuous4) The tester basically is just turning power on and off rapidly...simulating what the vehicle does. Perhaps "exerciser" is a better word than "tester".5) The tester does not actually evaluate the fuel injector in any way.6) The tester takes standard 12 volt DC power. You can connect it to your car battery or use any 12VDC barrel connector power supply that provides at least 2 amps.7) The high power modes are useful if the fuel injectors are stuck (such as they may be if they have sat for a while with ethanol fuel in them). In this case, the low power modes may not cycle the injectors...but the high power modes may cycle them just fine.
