Great for reading small print
The media could not be loaded. This is a great find. I needed a magnifyer because the fonts in my textbooks are miniscule and my eyes were getting exhausted from the strain. This is perfect for reading small print, it's ready to use outside the box (comes with a battery) and it had a light which comes in handy for extra illumination. It's lightweight and comes with a carrying case. It's easy to carry and you can see the print clearly.

Nice unit, but had to return to seller
I really wanted to like this and initially I did but the LED light switch on the underside didn't work properly and I had to return this to the seller. Glass seemed nice with a quality aluminum body.Downsides are:- Have to use the light to use it. Very little sunlight/inside lights gets in to illuminate the reading surface. Some units have openings in the lower part of the housing which allow light to enter.- Some other models have an on/off switch on the outside of the units and a very nice feature to have.- Rechargable batteries are available on some similar units and good to have but on the flip side, I would also imagine that the LED lights don't take a lot of juice so I sure that the standard coin battery would last a very long time too.- Questionable quality (especially since I had to return mine for the faulty switch)

Coworkers had complained about battery life or power on their newly shipped item maybe just a old lot. ust buy additional batteries to be sure. mine was fine it comes with a case which is awesome

The best on the market at the best price!
Not a better one on the market. Shop around and see that this is the best price. One of those rare gifts my husband LOVES and every architect or map reader needs this!

Works well
Great for old guys reading blueprints, and their slightly younger proteges. Fairly priced at $20, was $15 two years ago. Newer models seem to have brighter LED illumination.
