I've used this type of hand warmers from several brands over the last 20 plus years and they've always been great however not this brand. These get warm but not even warm enough to feel if you have even thin gloves on and they only last about 25 min. I'm used to these type warmers getting hot and staying hot over a half hour with an additional half hour of just being warm. Purchased this set to use this past weekend with the single digit temps but after trying a couple inside the house upon receiving my package I decided to go purchase better ones elsewhere. These would probably work well to put in kids jacket pockets for short periods of time.

I absolutely thought this would stay warmer more than one hour but the technology is super fun and I'm guessing they are this cheap due to it didn't last but an hour. Still very cool. And can be used as ice packs.

I guess you can use these as cold packs too I didn't purchase them for that reason and have not tried them that way as of yet .. that said they react fact after clicked for heat but I found the heat doesn't seem to last long
