Product was well packaged from the manufacturer, which is good because it was shipped from the seller in only a padded envelope. All was fine. It was an exact replacement for the original and took only 10 minutes to install. Works great!

The part works perfectly but as others have noted my old unit measured 12” on the internal piece, yet it required a 10” replacement. Thanks to others that included photos of dimensions that enabled a perfect fit. Also as others noted there is a small square brass piece that supports the valve gasket. The corners had to filed down a bit to match the original and allow proper clearance to slide in the hosing. It’s a small fast job, but has to be done, at least on the one I received. Hopefully the seller will take these reviews to make adjustments to the part, and their marketing, to improve customer experience, and earn the 5 stars the product functionality and value deserve.

This is the third PK80xx series Replacement Stem for c1993 Arrowhead faucets I have ordered. What the manufacturer and seller do not disclose is that the rectangular shaped brass end that holds the flat washer requires some filing down (at least for older product) in order to fit into the hydrant housing.This is not a "deal breaker" as it is much easier to file the end so that it fits than to cut into a wall to replace the entire faucet.Filing the ends: Recommend filing and rounding off the sharp rectangular brass edges only a little (aprox 0.005") at a time. Take the same amount off each end to ensure that the attached washer remains centered on the rectangular end. Also, use an inexpensive caliper to measure how much brass is filed off, and to make sure the cross-dimensions remain equal.Other notes:Stem seal on the old product and new replacement are different. The old stem seals utilized a packing gland, while the replacement uses a sliding O-ring mounted to a piston that moves in & out of a cylinder--This may be a good improvement--Time will tell.Also, on one replacement stem, I could not screw the existing faucet handle/knob completely tight. A washer under the head of the screw took care of the problem. I did not chase the stem internal threads with a tapping tool to see if it had been fully tapped. Fully disclosure, I reused the faucet handles & screws that were on the old hydrants rather than installing new handles & screws as the instructions directed. If the handles and screws really need to be replaced, they should be part of the stem kit.One more thing, I would recommend using a food-grade silicon grease to lubricate the faucet washer and O-ring & cylinder prior to final installation.

The replacement stem worked great after filing the side of one end as others have mentioned. Good value for the money. The leaky faucet is no more.

The problem with the 10" replacement stem is that nothing on the replacement stem measures 10". The description giving the overall length as 14" is correct, but if you make the mistake of measuring the stem, getting 10", and then ordering a 10" replacement stem you will be rewarded with a stem that is 12" long.I am giving this 2 stars because they do go to the trouble of mentioning the overall length. I am tempted to give it 3 because it is equally my own fault for not measuring the overall length, but I do not know what I would have done because I would have been completely dumbfounded at the idea that nothing in the 10" replacement stem measures 10", yet the stem that I am replacing and that is 10" long cannot be replaced with a 10" replacement stem.Also, I was able to fix my old stem by simply cannibalizing the o-ring from the new stem. It would be nice to not have to order the entire stem kit when a new o-ring would do, but that is not an option that I could find anywhere.

The square brass bushing is 1-mm to large and will not install unless you file the corners of the bushing slightly. Else, I would give it 5-stars for fast delivery.
