TOTO MS990CGR-01 Neorest Elongated Toilet and Washlet Unit with Metallic Stick Remote, Cotton White

If you have been to Japan in the last 5 years then you would have likely used one of the "Washlet" toilets. This is not the top of the line, but a middle upper level version. This is all that it is billed to be. It took a while to get, as there were a couple supply issues, including a breakage that happened at the last 1% of the deliver, but it was all made good and it is installed now. Ensure you have power near where the unit will be installed. It has worked flawlessly for the last 6 months.

The seat heated to body temperature and the perfected function of automatic washing of the private parts using water that is also immediately at body temperature are both worth this long-term investment. Every single function of this toilet works perfectly, flushing included. Highly recommended.

TOTO MS990CGR-12 Toilet - Excellent 5! - This Toilet is everything expected and then some. Once you try one of these, you won't want to use anything else! What a pleasure. The toilet is very high quality. The installation went without a hitch or any issues by my plumber. I moved the replaced toilet in the same plumber installation charge to replace a lesser smaller toilet both for $514.00. The installation manual was good, but was vague on the plumbing detail of the valve mounting on the wall or floor. But my plumber handled it correctly even though he had never installed one of these before. Testing the WAND with no one on the toilet (as described in the manual) did shoot a stream of water across the bathroom unexpectedly but stopped when the paper was removed from the people sensor. Beware of the water wash test, hehe... Otherwise perfect and very effective! *****! 5 stars!

Expensive but worth it. This is my second one I bought for my new house

Toto toilet works well, however shipped with some essential hardware (shutoff valve connector) missing which had to be purchased separately. Also no installation template or manual included. Stains inside unit were removable, but this could have appropriately been done by the seller.

I've had this toilet for 3 years now. The only downfall I that I don't like vacations anymore, because I don't like being away from my Neorest! This toilet effectively clears up TMSA (Typical Male Swamp @ss). It is also nice to sit on a heated seat. Sometimes when I use the other bathroom in the house, I look for the seat open/close buttons and then sadly realize I have to touch the seat. If you have OCD and don't like touching toilets, this is the toilet you for! Read on only if you are not offended by graphic content... After three years of use, I am still in the habit of checking with TP after a poop. I would say that 29/30 times the TP is perfectly clean. Even after some of the messiest dumps, this toilet cleans you like a whistle!! But once out of every 30 or so times, you'll have to wipe once or twice to get all of the remnants. I am okay with this success rate, because it completely cured me of IAS (itchy @ss syndrome). I can't say enough good things about this toilet!

I've had this for maybe six years. This robotic toilet is a harbinger of our future where our bodies will partner with electro-mechanical devices.For certain purposes, I will climb from the basement to the third floor to use this machine. I always miss this thing when traveling, even when staying in 5 star hotels, even in Japan.All of its functions work well. Yes it does not always clean the bowl perfectly, and there is no way to shut the fan off. But it is convenient, comfortable and sanitary the way no other toilet is. The overall user experience is exemplary, surprisingly so.

I love the extra features, but wish I had done more research. We bought it for the master bathroom. The fan noise starts the minute you sit down, so it is noisy to use in the middle of the night. Even more annoying is having to constantly clean the bowl so it doesn't look nasty. We replaced a 18-year old American Standard that actually cleaned the bowl better than the Neo 600 Toto. The cool features aren't worth the price.
