As a devote clover amour hook user I thought I'd try an in line hook to see if it makes a difference. The hook is light the handle comfortable no issues with snagging or smoothness. I enjoyed using the Susan bates comfort hook as it's longer than my usual hooks and I enjoy the throat being deeper so it catches the wool nicely on pulling through. My only thing I guess is they do not have a point as such on the head so u sometimes struggle with a tighter stitch.

Love these! Have recently taken up crochet properly as have not crocheted since my late teens and have been on the hunt for the perfect hooks. I initially bought a set of all sizes before knowing that not all crochet hooks are created equal, then as I started watching various you tube tutorials on how to make this that and the next thing, I noticed that some of the hooks were more defined/engineered and wondered if the type of hook made a difference. I hold my hook like I would hold a knife and work mainly in cotton yarn which I found splits quite easily...until I got these beauties.For what it is worth I have also tried prym hooks but find they are quite sticky with the yarn which ends up causing a tight tension and it slows me down.I love these though,smooth, comfy and because of the precision engineering of the head, I manage tohook the yarn through pretty much every time without splitting. The pointy tip is great for starting from a chain too.Really well made and light.My pryms are going on Ebay which is a shame as I really like the look of them.

Unfortunately not for me, uncomfortable and needle seems sharp and grabs the yarn rather than holds it

It doesn't harm or split the yarn as I go. Very ergonomic and easy to use.

The best hooks iv used longer than the average hook so makes it much more comfortable to hold

Best hook I’ve had in years. Sharp hooky bit, to good for keeping the yarn on hook when pulling through.
