Great for those times when you have two phones and one of them is an older iPhone and the other is the newer type that use the USB-C. It states right there in the description that it’s not for data transfer so I don’t expect it to work for that. I use it in the car, and. Really only count on it to maintain the battery and not really charge it super fast.

This is a great cord in a combo that's hard to find in a shorter length. Charges really fast. Very sturdy. This is the cord that lives in my kitchen and I use for charging my newer iPhone and my older iPad every day.

I got this for use in our sectional couch, which has USB ports and electrical sockets in the armrest sections. Rather than having to have separate Lightning and USB-C cables, with this we only take up one USB port and can either charge the wife's iPhone or my Android. The coiled cable is great, because we don't have to deal with extra cable length hanging out or having to be tucked in, but still have enough to be able to pick up a phone or other device and look at/use it while connected. I have used similar multi-device cables like this in the past, and typically at least one of the device connectors fails, but this one has worked fine so far, so no complaints. If it holds up, I will probably buy more.

Does not work for CarPlay but does work for charging. OK still for the price.

Charges fine but doesn’t work with Apple Car Play

Bought this specifically for my parent’s car so that they could both use Car Play without having to change cables between their iPhone XR and 15 Plus. They were quite excited. I went to pull up a map today, car play won’t come up. If you dig way down in the description eventually you see no car play. But before that you keep seeing phrases like universal compatibility! It’s not universal if I can’t use it for things you’d use it for in a car.

This cable does not support carplay. It is not for use in the car. For me it is useless.
