A great easy way of topping a lemon cake
Another good product from Betty Crocker.This is a fudgy type, lemon flavoured icing. Perfect for use with one of their cakes.I used mine on the zesty lemon cake mix. Photo.I spread a layer in the middle, then pour the rest over the top.I like my things really lemony, so I stirred in a tablespoonful of lemon juice, just to give it a little extra kick. Have a taste, and then decide for yourself.It's 69% sugar. So probably best not to sit down and consume the tub. But, a dollop on your cake? Why not treat yourself.Ingredients wise, it is mainly sugar, along with some flavouring and a plethora of mysterious E numbers.Spread it straight onto your cake, or heat in in microwave for 10-15 seconds, give it a stir and then pour over the top.As I say, it's very tasty, and complements the lemon cake mix beautifully. This I will never be without bought it online because could not purchase it in local shops. Tangy but not too much just the right flavour.

Yummy lemon flavor
The lemon cake and icing from Betty Crocker are quite nice. It is not too sweet compared to some of the other icings. I wish it was slightly bigger as the icing does not cover the whole cake though.

I added a little more lemon to it to try cut the sweetness would be nice with lemon zest added but I didn’t have any lemons

Tasty!
Tastes beautiful. Not too sickly and has a lovely tangy lemon taste. Not much different than a homemade equivalent!
