Can’t go wrong with an annual. I loved getting them as a kid and now I buy them for my daughter for Christmas- lots of info and great photos

The 64 page 2025 Doctor Who annual is lavishly illustrated throughout with photographs and accompanying text. There is a photographic guide to the Doctor's battle with his old enemy, The Toymaker, and his subsequent split regeneration. The annual introduces readers to the Doctor's latest travelling companion, Ruby Sunday, and tells the involved story from her birth. There are various articles, which include uncovering the workings of the TARDIS, the need for the organisation UNIT, originally introduced way back in 1970 when Jon Pertwee's Third Doctor was exiled to Earth and he worked as UNIT's Scientific Adviser, the usefulness of the sonic screwdriver and enemies including the Meep and the return of The Toymaker, played by Michael Gough in 1966's The Celestial Toymaker, pitted against William Hartnell's First Doctor. The annual also includes puzzles, including spot the difference, and various games for readers to play. There is also a bonus story, Destination: Skaro, which was featured as live action on BBC tv's Children In Need, and the annual concludes with a full page poster of the Doctor and Ruby Sunday. Overall, the annual is the perfect tie-in with the television series and perfect for flicking through to read and entertain.

These are always fun. They are written towards a younger audience but they are a good hour or so read. A good way to look back at the previous series or season or whatever they are calling them now. I buy it every year.
