Wright's Coal Tar Soap, Everyday Skin Cleansing for all Skin Types 100g

My dry stink LOVE's this soap! I tried all kinds of lotions and potions, PH balance stuff that all just dry out my skin even more, sometimes even making it painful. BUT, this soap smells like hell, but when you've washed in it, the smell is subtle and refreshing, but my skin LOVES it! Leaving me feeling comfortable in my own skin and moisturised. my mum recommended it years ago, and I thought she was mad, something so cheep couldn't work... it worked!

This Wright’s Coal Tar Soap is an absolute British legend in a bar. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and my skin feels cleaner than a Sunday morning conscience. Proper old-school power soap that doesn’t mess about. The smell? Glorious. It hits you like a Victorian apothecary had a love child with a smoky railway engine. One whiff and you’re instantly transported back to 1890, feeling like you should be wrestling bears or curing consumption. My bathroom now smells like a proper gentleman’s grooming emporium — none of that fancy floral nonsense that smells like it’s trying too hard. It lathers up beautifully, leaves skin feeling fresh, tingly, and suspiciously healthy. Spots don’t stand a chance, and I’ve come out the shower smelling like I’ve just finished a hard day down the pit (in the best possible way). Even the dog gives me a respectful nod now. For the price it’s cracking value too. One bar lasts ages and makes you feel like you’re taking your hygiene seriously, not just faffing about with modern gimmicks. If you want soap that actually does something and smells like it means business, stop whatever you’re doing and get some Wright’s. Your skin (and your ancestors) will thank you. 10/10, very handy if the kids have been doing a spot of chimney cleaning too!

A soap bar brand that has been around for decades. Can remember this soap from my childhood and it is still as good. It's a love or hate for the smell though it is not as overwhelming as it was in the past.

Its soap that cleans. My hands feel extremely clean. It does smell like the Black Country museum. Very victorian smell. I dont like it. But you might want to smell like a victorian. For some reason.

Great product. Sadly no longer made with coal tar but smells like it did. Nice to use and fabulous value. Takes me back .. I enjoy the fresh smell and it makes me feel clean. No irritation.

This soap definitely does what it’s meant to do and leaves skin feeling really clean. That said, the smell is strong and very old school. Honestly it makes you smell like you just walked out of a shoe maker’s workshop. Not unpleasant, just very distinctive. It’s clearly a classic for a reason! The smell is very unique. Great cleansing power and long lasting, but the scent might not be for everyone. I’ll keep using it, just maybe not right before heading out.
