My 8yr old recently got aligners and has become obsessed with orthodontics. She loves this model and uses it in conjunction with a dental coloring book I found on Amazon as well. Well constructed model and a great gift.

We acquired this primarily for educational purposes; braces are needed in our family, and our children are especially curious about anatomy. This model has helped them both better understand mandibles and teeth, but has also allowed them better understand how braces mount upon teeth and do their work. And beyond education, they really like just having it around as a curiosity - their friends enjoying checking it out, too!At time of writing, ~$15 is a very reasonable price for this hard-plastic model.

My son had braces placed earlier in the year and it has been a struggle to get him to properly clean his teeth. This model is anatomically correct in the ways that I am familiar with the mouth and the braces seem to be real or a really really good approximation. This model would be a nice addition to a dental office or for someone that teaches anatomy or a health class.
