Always work to do
Recommended to me by my piano tutor, this book takes some work to learn the exercises. I don't use it as much as I should but for the exercises I have figured out I've seen improvement in my playing technique as well as my familiarity with shifting keys.

Excellent little exercises for finger and thumb dexterity
Excellent little exercises for finger and thumb dexterity. Used with Hanon and Czerny, they are awakening previously hibernating muscles following a period without a piano.

Pianoforte Technique on an hour a day
This book was recommended to me by my Piano Teacher who had used this book to increase the flexibility and strength of her fingers. When my teacher had started me on the simpler exercises I had noticed how weak and stiff some of my fingers were. This is a great tool for budding pianists to start on.If only I had this book at the start of my learning, my playing would be much better today.

Most useful eye-opener.
Very good stuff in this book. Exposed weak spots in my technique I didn't know I had. The technical advice rings true. It's a workout for the brain as much as the fingers, which is no bad thing.Haven't quite worked out how to correlate the sections of the book with the items in the workout planner, but haven't been using it very long.

I definitely give five stars for this product. I bought this book and showed it my piano teacher and she loved it. Its very helpful and has techniques spanning across all forms of piano playing. Furthermore, it has a timetable at the front of the book for people who may really want to get into technique for a week of technique practice. The exercises are frequently challenging to do and grow in difficulty. The book then gives recommendation on pieces that the technique will help you on. Its a very detailed and helpful book, I couldn't fault it.
