3/8" Magnetic Inline Transmission/Power Steering Filter

I have a 2007 Accord 2.4 automatic with just over 80,000 miles on it. (Not for long! I have driven this car 5000 miles in the last 2 months and performed multiple deferred maintenance services that would have otherwise been neglected by the previous owner.) This high quality inline tranmission filter saved me a bundle over the stealerships prices. It fit right back where the old one came out using the original bracket that was on the oe filter. Along with replacing the filter and performing multiple oe fluid drain and fills around or under every 30,000 miles, I suspect this old Accord will last me a long time

Simple to install direct in 3/8 transmission line, before going to the oil cooler system. This is the second filter , took the first off and opened it. The magnet is strong and collect any and all metal particles. Helping keep my transmission fluid clean. I highly recommend this filter. I change my fluid every 30000 miles, regardless oil and filter are cheaper repairs are not. Try one of these filters, see for yourself.

These are the original, and the best. The old ones were plastic, these are metal. You can find China Amazon "clones" but they are not the same. None of them have bypass valves, and quality is hit or miss. Yes, you can get two similar looking filters for the price of one Magnefine, but if you are someone who is looking to purchase one, then you are probably someone who cares about their vehicle lasting as long as it can. Not an average cheap consumer. So why be cheap and fake ones? A $25 Magnefine is MUCH cheaper then buying a new transmission or repairing a power steering system

What a great little filter! I installed it on the power steering line of my gen 1 Toyota Tacoma and it's working great. I should have ordered 5/16" instead of 3/8", but I was able to slip the hoses over the barbed fittings after heating them in boiling water, and thankfully I have not experienced any leaks. It is lightweight enough to dangle freely when attached in line with strong hoses, or you can easily zip-tie it if needed. It is plenty durable since it is made out of metal, and while I do expect it to last and extremely long time, it's nice that it is so easy to swap out if needed in the future.

I put this on two of my pickups. 1998 Tacoma with a 2.7 liter and a 1993 Chevy k1500 silverado z71 with the 350. Both had 3/8 inch return lines. Strangely enough, within one day of each other, both trucks began to have power steering issues. The screen on the Toyota was clogged completely up and the chevy reservoir was pretty filthy. I flushed both the best I could, cleaned the screen, and put this filter on. It seems to flow perfectly fine as I haven't had any more power steering issues. *******UPDATE******* This is a heck of a filter. I guess the restored flow, new fluid, new pump flushed a ton of sludge out of my old system. I took the filter off and put it in a vise. Beat on it for 20 minutes with a hammer and chisel to open it up. This is the toughest filter I've ever encountered. Once inside it was PACKED with sludge. This is NOT caused BY the filter to be clear with everyone. This filter took a beating of sludge and shrugged it off. It was still passing fluid, no whine, no hard steering. All seemed normal. Inside the filter it was a nightmare, but it didn't collapse. This is one product I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This poor filter took a beating and kept on ticking. I put on a new filter and plan on swapping it again soon and inspecting it. But I'm going to say the filter saved my new pump because it isn't having any issues. Drives like new.

I use these as inline filters for my 2005 Chevy Silverado at the power steering system. They install nicely inline at the return fluid line/hose to help keep the system/fluid clean. Make sure the filter is installed in the correct orientation so the fluid flows in the correct direction through the filter.

Nice personal insurance especially if you are using a junkyard transmission like me. Feels solid and has a bypass filter unlike the WIX equivalent. Was simple to install just use your head a bit, maybe find a service manual for double checking on your transmission filter placement. And hey I'm saving $$ by putting one of these in.

was expecting to have to rig it to fit, but surprisingly has the exact same diameter to fit a 2013 Honda Insight CVT external filter bracket (minus the ridge present on the OEM filters) only hard part was trying to determine which direction the fluid flows, because the OEM didn't have any indication, as far as i could tell one A.I. gave me an answer with both directions listed in the same response... but tried another and got a single direction response, then double checked some of it's source citations and forum discussions the the CVT fluid for a 2013 Honda Insight flows from the radiator to the CVT... so point the flow arrow on this new filter to the driver side (assuming my research is correct)
