To Infinity and Beyond
First of all I just finished reading the book. I did not like it has been 2years since Pocket Full of Lies has been released and how long it took to get to this novel released. I am hoping the next novel, To Lose the Earth, will not take so long to hit book shelves. I liked it. I liked that for once it was different and didn't even remember the crew ever having a picnic on an alien planet. The story is much like the Children of Storm, a scientific exploring one. I think it's an interesting planet and species they discovered, especially since it's in the heart of former Borg Space and the Borg never even bothered with them when they were there. I liked that Beyer added drama to the Voyager crew originals and the new members. Devi Patel, Gwen, and so many others. I could see how Patel felt that with Seven, a former Borg Drone, the crew always referring to her instead and not feeling valued. I am glad that Gwen and Harry had the talk toward the end with something for him to think about in their treatment. Much like the Dominion War veterans were being treated differently than Voyager's crew. I was a little upset that we didn't get anything more deeper with Janeway and Chakotay's relationship or any final resolution to Nancy's condition. I loved Regina and Sal's relationship but it took a surprising twist toward the end. Icheb was def a surprise. Overall I can't wait for the next novel. I would love to revisit the Krenim, not to mention many of the races they've encountered before- the Ocampa, the Kazon, the Swarm, the Hirogen, and even the Malon. I hope what happened in the end of the novel has some greater explanation in the next one or I will be very disappointed in the direction the series is going. They've already lost enough ships with the Full Circle fleet please stop killing them off. I am still mad Beyer killed off Jarem Kaz, Voyager's first Doctor since their return to the Alpha Quadrant. I thought there was an amazing story potential with him and sadden to be killed off as a foot note in Full Circle.

The thrill of scientific discovery, and the satisfaction of seeing these Voyager characters continue to evolve and grow.
Beyer’s series of Voyager novels...they’re astonishing. This is only the latest one to continue to develop all the characters I’ve grown to love and consider a make-believe family I wish I could be a part of. All of Beyer’s Voyager novels resonate with the original series and its themes, but these aren’t the same exact characters as before. They’ve grown and evolved and developed new relationships with a large cast of supporting character from three other ships all serving under Admiral Janeway in the Delta Quadrant. Really interesting characters in their own right, too. And these novels also take on the “issues” many Star Trek fans had with Janeway and her leadership style while so far away from the Federation. Was it too familial? Did she play favorites because of her relationships with the senior officers? And how does that affect the new crewmen serving with the tight knit Voyager crew under new circumstances? Could Janeway come back to Starfleet and follow orders again now that she wasn’t at the top of the command chain anymore. Spoiler: She can, and she does, but not without a little of that old Janeway self-righteousness we love and know she can’t quite shake. And who’d want her to? Not me. Her thoughtfulness about her own character flaws and her ability to grapple with them for the better make her the character she is. Read all the Beyer Voyager novels and true fans will feel like the voyage never has to end. It just keeps getting better.

A good read
I liked Voyager so this book seems to be a good one, now I will have to get the other books that I didn't know about to get the whole story.

Worthwhile continuation of the series
This book does a fine job of continuing the story, but it's a continuation of the previous several books, not of the series -- there are probably at least half a dozen books worth of story between the end of the series and this book. If you've read all the previous material, you'll doubtless want to continue with this one, and don't need me to tell you that. If you HAVEN'T, you probably don't want to start with this one. It's hardly a stand-alone, and not even very promising as a story for someone who last saw the characters at the end of the television show. One warning: it ends on a nasty cliffhanger, so you may want to wait until the next book comes out before reading this one.

Too complex, too introspective
4 starships, captains and crew members, narratives flipping back and forth with confusing irregularity. Science sounds "iffy" like "the planet is caught in a gravitational field because of 'conservation of mass', and it's "gravitational field is increasing because it's absorbing energy". Characters spend too much time in introspection and personal conflict, moaning about their upbringing and feelings.

I'm not saying it wasn't a good book it really was
After waiting over a year for this novel and it being pushed back a few times I really wanted a longer story seemed shorter than I'm used too. I'm not saying it wasn't a good book it really was. Two particular parts I got very excited as a JCer, but it wasn't what I thought I won't give spoilers out but if your a Janeway and Chakotay fan you'll find them. Naturally it ended as a cliff hanger with the GALEN but I won't be surprised if it takes a year since Kristen is assisting in writing for Star Trek Discovery. I'm not as anxious to read the next novel as I was for this novel. But don't worry I'll be getting the new book.

Such a perfect book, left me NEEDING more...
I have never left a book review before, but I feel compelled to do so now. Once I started reading this book, I could not stop. For the first time ever, I cried real tears while reading a book. Of joy and of sadness. The storyline never ceased to keep me wanting. The people were as real and fully imagined as if I were watching it live. I have always anticipated new Voyager books, and do to surviving Bacterial Meningitis, I re-read the Voyager books, to help with my memory and retention. I read this book so fast, I am starting over again today. I was so stunned by the end I was desperately needing and wanting more. If I could offer more stars than only five, I would do so. Thank you Miss Beyers for being an essential piece of my recovery....this book does NOT disappoint.

Star Trek: Voyager - Architects Of Infinity
Another great story by Ms Beyer, proving (again) she is the ultimate 'Voyager' author! Waiting anxiously for the next one!

Good read
Fast moving and challenging read. In the best traditions of Star Trek story tellers. Cliff hanger ending that leaves the reader desperate for the next episode!

Great new adventure
Architects of infinity is an exciting new Star Trek plot that takes the familiar and reimagines it with exciting new technology, a mysterious civilisation and with many of your favourite characters from Star Trek Voyager.
