Povidone Iodine 10%

I ordered this in hopes of eliminating the Fritos smell caused by my Pittie's paws. The origin of the smell was a bacteria infection in and around her paws. Mixing 2 parts iodine with 6 parts water. (my prefered mixing ratio), using dog shampoo, and a semi-stiff bristled scrub brush; apply the soap to the brush, dip it in the iodine mixture, and immediately scrub the paws. Then rinse. It took consistency and around 10 days to dissipate the smell and bacteria. Washing every other day. It is completely safe even when they lick their paws. If the iodine is immediately rinsed off after cross-contamination then it is less likely to stain. I have not experienced any staining after washing her paws in my bathtub during the winter months.

In my local drug store, the name brand costs over twice as much. It's the same thing.
