These are metal brads. I think they're all pretty much the same. They fold without breaking, so they're a win to me.They do seem a bit overpriced for what they are. The colors are bright and lovely. They are easy to use and the size is great.

For our Christmas event we used the brads to join the arms and legs to a bear body.Monarch was the name of the bear, he was the model for the grizzly on the California state flag.
