As long as what you are applying it to is clean of any grease or oil it should be fine.

Product descriptions says marine tex waterproof epoxy gray 2 oz but package picture says white. so what is it?

When you open you will know. I am sure that's not what you wanted to here. But what it says on the can is what it should be. I have had good luck tinting the white. Hope this helped.
