The Dawn of the Cursed Queen: Gods & Monsters Book #3

Honestly, it's been a minute since I've read something that my brain just becomes utterly fixated on and completely obsessed with..I bought merch..I NEVER buy merch for anything! That's a benchmark for a pretty huge obsession from me! LolI love Samkiel and Dianna so much, I finished the book last week and I'm just coming up for air after multiple rereads of their segments. The highest grade rating I can give when a book makes me immediately start it back over and reread after finishing. And I did it for a week with this one!I read the Book of Azrael when it barely had any reviews by word of mouth. And I have been a HUGE fan ever since. We have all book series that becomes our scream from the mountain top books and this was definitely one of mine!Amber V Nicole's writing is getting stronger with each book. And the world building is so good! The fleshing out of all the characters is fantastic! The locations and different types of worlds were delish! The different POV were very interesting and really fleshed out the worlds even more. The character insights are just fantastic ! There was one moment where I thought “how dare you make me have a smidgen of empathy for Kaden, Amber!"Might date myself here but it reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Xena Warrior Princess episodes. Fearsome, funny and so much heart and pathos! I got choked up with Dianna’s final lie scene…the hurt that was put to page! Oof, in the feels.And it's so much more spicy! And it works because they've earned it! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥But there's a reason Amber V Nicole's readers group is called Emotional Victims because of that damn cliffhanger…AGAIN! She is out to kill us! Lol I might actually die from a heart attack before this series is through!This is not going to be everyone's cup of tea but man, did it work for me! I can say without a shadow of doubt that this is my favorite read this year so far!

Cara, já gostei de cara do primeiro livro por causa da Dianna - personagem bem escrita, bem pensada, nada da típica heroína ou donzela em perigo que a gente costuma ver por aí, além do senso moral duvidoso mas super identificável que ela tem. A trama é super rica, cheia de detalhes mas todos super importantes pra história, e escrita de um jeito que te deixa MALUCA pra saber o que vai acontecer depois (o terceiro - Dawn of the Cursed Queen - eu li em praticamente 2 dias).E tudo isso, e muito mais, segue nesse terceiro livro. MANO. Autora danada essa, eu PRECISO saber o que vai acontecer depois do final desse, mal posso esperar o quarto livro!!!!!!!!Muito, muito, muito bom, o melhor livro da saga até agora, na minha opinião.Todos os livros dessa saga, especialmente esse 3º, valem super a pena de ler!!!!!

Dianna remains my favourite FMC of all time. Anytime anyone asks for a rec with a fierce morally grey FMC, this is top of the list. And my adoration for Samkiel only grew more. I love the way he loves and sees Dianna’s true self.Given that this is the third book in the series, it’s hard to give a summary without giving away important bits from the first two books. But I will say this book brings more POV chapters that offer so much fresh insight into characters we’ve grown to both love and hate. Reggie’s chapters are absolutely overflowing with tea 🫖 I basically highlighted the whole chapter every time he came around.The new relationships that develop between characters was also unexpectedly amazing, I found myself rooting for them even though I started out hating them - make of that what you will 👀 TDotCQ is also the spiciest book of the series yet, by far 🥵If you love fantasy romance with a strong female lead, devoted MMC, some of the best found family I’ve read, and complex world building across multiple realms - this series is for you. the first 20% of the book was a little hard to read for me but once it picked up.. Gods I could not put it down, the different POVs were extremely well done in my opinion, I think I devoured this book even faster than the first book of the series.

I've sat and binged the 3 books in this series over the past few days and I'm gutted that I'm caught up and have to wait until next year for the 4th book. I feel that in this genre of books, I tend to find it hard to find ones with original storylines, and this series doesn't disappoint. Phenomenal writing, storytelling, romance and I'd definitely recommend.
