Fire-Maple Fixed Star X2 Backpacking Camping Stove System, Orange,22oz

Greta little stove. I’ve not used it camping, but I did a side by side with it and my original setup (cheap butane stove and Stanley water pot) and this one blew it out of the water. Yes it is a little slower than Jetboil, but it was much faster than my setup and cost less than half of the jet oil. It took 2 minutes and 20 seconds to bring water to a roaring boil. Mi original setup wat closer to 6 minutes.

Went through the first 100g fuel can & no issues so far, it works great, boils water fast, cooks rice & pasta, etc & cleans up easy. Really appreciate the licking handle & base as well the heat proof silicone insulation keeps stuff hot for quite a while after cooking & the pour through lid is awesome. Also I used it on a windy day with no issue whatsoever. If you're on the fence about this one you need to just go ahead and buy it; the features versus the price = it really can't be beat 😎

Wonderful stove and pot set at a fair price. I've used it several times backpacking in the Sierras. Love the auto-ignite clicky thing. Works easy and fast, even in windy conditions. Also, burns strong and heats water fast; I was using it in 30-40 degree temps with 20+ mph wind gusts and it STILL did the job in a couple of minutes. The insulation around the pot is nice so you can hold it and eat right after heating. The stand attached to a standard fuel cannister and makes it very stable on anything half like a level surface; also, it comes with a little "adapter" thing for other pots (like a Toaks 750ml or something) to sit on it for use. Everything, including 1 fuel cannister nestles inside, so it's compact for what it is. Note, this is not an "ultralight" setup. I weighed the stove and stand on our kitchen scale at 237 grams (8.34 oz) and the pot at 263 grams (9.27 oz). So, 17+ oz for the total setup. You can get lighter kit (and for a little less cash), but, as I said, it functions VERY well, and the design means it is more fuel efficient than some basic stoves (thinking the BRS 3000T etc). Note 2: the pot cannot be used on an open campfire (the base of the pot and insulation discourage that). All in all, great stove and pot set; excellent function, not ultralight.

Stores away in a convenient package. Heats up very fast and has decent wind resistance. I’d like to see longer feet/legs for more stability but that may have a negative impact on portability/overall size. Nice selection of compatible accessories however French press accessory not great. Priced far more reasonably that other brands.

Very happy and impressed. Took longer for me to get setup, than it was to get a cup of espresso and hot oatmeal cooked. That's fantastic! Love the weight, and it's simple, compact, and ready to go! The cover is perfect to pickup and hold to eat right after boiling the water. Fired up on first click without issue. Table was an additional purchase, but was exactly what I needed for me. All in all, a wonderful update for my hammock camping setup.

This thing saves lives! We recently climbed mt Whitney and found a group of day hikers at 11’000 that had ran out of food/water. They had been on the mountain for 24hours without supplies. Exposure and fatigue weighing heavy we used this to melt snow and heat rocks to place in our sleeping bags to help warm them up before descending the next morning at day break. This little stove burnt for hours on a single fuel tank and kept them warm and alive. It works flawlessly, and held up to multiple days hiking without a scratch. Fire maple has done a great job, I look forward to seeing their other products and using them in the field.

It's a very good buy for the price. In our honest opinion and review, we were surprised by how fast it is. Obviously, there are faster brands on the market, but they are much more expensive, so this is an excellent purchase. We used it for two days of camping and have no complaints whatsoever. The cover works very well; we heated water at maximum capacity and it performed very well. Zero complaints; it never let us down so far.

The best for the price. Very efficiently boiled water for breakfast, lunch and dinner on a backpacking trip. Only used about 3/4 of a small canister of iso butane for 5 days straight. Love how everything packs up very neatly and in the pot. Highly recommended!!!!

J'ai fait bouillir 500ml d'eau (temperature pièce) en 1min 50 dans des conditions parfaites (20 degrés et aucun vent). Mais qui est pressé à ce point en bivouac ? Le plus important est le fait que son efficacité fait économiser beaucoup de carburant comparativement aux bruleurs conventionnels. Sa conception est robuste et de qualité et coûte 50% moins cher que les plus grandes marques comme le JetBoil. La poignée tient solidement en place et vous permet de verser les liquides en toute sécurité (celle du Jetboil est souple et instable). C'est un système clé en mains avec le stabilisateur de bombonne et l'adaptateur pour vos autres chaudrons ou poêlons. Je l'utilise en Hiking et moto camping pour sa légèreté et rangement compact.

I have bought three of these so far. One for us a d two for friends and they have been perfect! They are built with the same if not better quality as the jet boil and are priced far better. Anyone spending any time outdoors needs these.

There’s a reason this stove is very popular, it comes with everything needed. I tested how fast it boils filtered water from the tap. It took exactly 2:00min to bring the water to a rolling boil. If it was room temperature it would be even faster, estimating the same result times you get from recorded uploads on popular social media websites. Some people say you can’t get the fuel canister to fit into the Fire Maple. This is not true, everything fits into the canister. Fire Maple added a picture in the instructions to show everybody how to pack the pot so standard size 227g fuel bottles fit all in one. As you can see in my photos, everything fits. The X2 comes with 3 sleeves so you can change the look. I have bought many mini stoves and the quality here is excellent. There’s ones that have higher BTU ratings and ones that are less. This is a perfect ratio to save fuel but still heat fast. I want to try thier X3 Pro model but this one is so great I can’t see anything being better. Why pay double or more for fancy pants North American made stuff when this is just as good.

This is a brilliant little device, the size is small but big enough for the job, so great for camping and hiking. The design is really smart, the whole thing packs inside itself to it takes up even less space in your bag or wherever you're carrying it. The speed it heats up water is impressive, much faster than the standard gas hob, which I guess is down to the design and close fitting of flame and pot. Given it is a lot cheaper than the more famous named brand, I've recommended to many people and have bought one for my family member who's massively into their camping.
