My friends and I love to play board games. Although dungeons and dragons is mainly what this is used for. It definitely works for ALL kinds of game. The smooth surface makes it really nice to play any board game. The pieces don't slide as much and you can keep notes about the game on the board. The mat also makes it so you can play on carpet surfaces if needed. It has a nice grid and compass mapping but the grid I feel is the most useful. I have played all sorts of games on it from Pandemic to Monopoly and with a bunch of kick starters coming soon I am very happy to have this board. It comes with a few dry markers with eraser heads. My recommendation is to definitely get a big dry eraser because the smaller head ones don't work really well. I also would suggest new markers as theses ones ran out/dried out pretty easily if you game a lot. The surface is a bit easy to scratch so you will notice the use after a few games but I mean that what the mat is for to protect table top surface. Overall I think the mat is great and it brings the gaming experience to an easier level.

There's a lot of good stuff crammed here for very little. I am a sucker for TTRPG vinyl clings, and I love that the boxes themselves can be used as battle maps. The boards, I don't care about so much as I already have a bunch of generic boards/maps, but they're nice enough as well, especially if you don't have any. The box it comes in does not seem especially sturdy, so I took everything out and tucked it away in its own space to keep it from being damaged. I would avoid stacking things on top of this box if you purchase it, and I would be gentle with it while using it in-game. As always, if you live in a high-humidity area, be sure to treat any at-risk surfaces with wax.

There is alot here! Totally worth getting! We'll be using it in our next D&D session.

Everyone has their own style of RPGs, I know that. I prefer a panorama type of experience, where you can kind of like paint the inside of a shoebox. Anyway, this set is pretty good, although folding the boards was like trying to solve a rubix cube. I don't know what your budget is like, but if you spend more, you get more out of it. That's what it comes down to. This is such an awesome value for what you pay for, I love it. I have attached a suggestion. It's just my playstyle. I like a panorama 3d experience, along with a medium/quick beginning and end to the quest, and which can be fun, or an annoying challenge. It's up to you. If you could take into consideration my play style, and request, I would appreciate it and would purchase more sets.

I love how large these mats are. I was running the Sunless Citadel from Tales From The Yawning Portal which has some pretty large maps. 1 mat still didn't work for a full map because of the massive map size but we used a few, front and back, and it worked. The edges curl up no matter how long they've been laid flat. It's a minor inconvenience. I do recommend using Wet erase markers on the mats to prevent smudging. The dry erase markers weren't cutting it for us. They clean up easily with a damp cloth.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting these to be flimsy. The boards are very sturdy though, maybe even more so than any of my other board games. They're double sided and quite large. The stickers they come with are nice too, but I haven't used them yet.

We use this in our dungeons and dragons campaign. The maps are great quality. The stickers are really nice, although I'd like bigger tree stickers. The markers and eraser are a nice add on. Overall, it really makes our DM happy!
