When you need to cut down on caffeine, or save some money, this could be the answer. Worldwide Botanicals Organic French Chicory (roasted) has the lovely, familiar roasted taste of coffee. It was a good substitute to lower my caffeine. I had bladder troubles with decaf coffee, but no troubles with full strength coffee or chicory.This is what I did. I normally used about 1/2 cup+ of coffee grounds for 14 cups of brewed coffee. I started by removing one teaspoon of coffee grounds and substituted it with 1/2 teaspoon of the Organic French Chicory before the brewing. The chicory brews darker than coffee. The next time I brewed the coffee, I removed 2 teaspoons of coffee and replaced it with 1 teaspoon of chicory before brewing. I did this for about a week before slowly reducing the coffee grounds further. This is what I did to lower my caffeine.Since chicory has a stronger taste, less of it is needed. That is why it saved money for me. Saving money was a unexpected delight.A few months later, I use 1/4 Cup chicory and 1 Tablespoon of coffee for 14 Cups of water. I sleep better and blood pressure is better. On those days, where I need more caffeine, I just add a little more coffee and less chicory.The chicory has a slightly sweet taste, but it brews much stronger than coffee. That is how it saved money for me.

Wonderful, rich, robust, full deep flavor, earthier and fuller than the Frontier brand, which was the first one I tried. I prefer organic because I don't want to take in pesticides or chemicals. For my cold brew mix, which calls for 2 cups of coffee to 7 cups of water, I mix 1/2 cup of this with one and a half cups of decaf dark roast. I also add a little ground Ceylon cinnamon and a tiny pinch of grey sea salt. I use 6 1/2 cups of water instead of 7 and the result is just exquisite, especially for a decaf - better than most regular cups of coffee I've ever had. I should add that I use lots of creamer so that's why I like to make such a dark deep mix. This chicory is great and will be my standard now.

I've been drinking chicory coffee for a while but the brand I was drinking just rised the prices up so I needed to look for a most affordable brand.To my surprise, this might look like a better option sinse its ORGANIC! I used a tbsp like the package said for 2 cups but it is too strong for my personal taste.It has an earthy flavor which I love, I just need to use less amount which is great because the bag will last double!!I'm very happy with this purchase and will definitely recommend it. If you looked up for the benefits of drinking chicory instead of coffee then you will know that this is the bag you need.

We use the chicory as an enhancement to the second run through of our coffee grounds in a French press. It adds a subtle yet unique flavor to the second batch, saving money on coffee since we can use it twice. I only takes about a teaspoon in the typical size French press, though some my prefer a table spoon.

This product is a delicious coffee alternative. I love to drink it in the afternoon instead of more coffee. It tastes great and similar to coffee. I like to add stevia and almond milk hot or cold it's something I look forward to each day.

I LOVE IT!!! PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED AND DID NOT REVIEW THEN... WHEN I RAN OUT, THOUGHT I WOULD TRY ANOTHER BRAND... IT WAS NOT NEAR WHAT THIS ONE IS... SO I WENT BACK TO THIS ONE AND I WILL STICK WITH THIS ONE... HAS A NICE FLAVOR!!!

My favorite coffee now. Can never go back to regular coffee again. Doesn't give me acid reflux and bloating like regular coffee used to.
