Only Bedding I’ll Ever Use For My Hamsters Ever Again
Just like the title says. I use to buy Kaytee’s clean and cozy from the pet stores, but I got fed up with the amount of random trash that I would find. This BEDDING THOUGH:• Not dusty at all! Maybe like minimal. It doesn’t get dusty when replacing or doing a full bedding change when my hams needed it.• No smell• No trash or random colored pieces• HUGE AMOUNT FOR PRICE!• Expands in size (like kaytee’s)• Unbleached, no dyes, or whitening agents like other brands• Still soft! Not hard paper or that “paper-y” texture• Doesn’t cause respiratory problems when dumping into my hamster’s niteangels. Usually kaytee makes me sneeze and get itchy on my nostrils. This one doesn’t! Makes me more comfortable that if it doesn’t trigger my allergies than my hamsters must be safe and not inhaling dust particles either.• Holds burrows and hamster loves it. She’ll come up and pouch some and rearrange her enclosure as she prefers

Great
Amazing product it’s durable and functional. With it being as absorbent as it is, it makes it easy to clean and it absorbs all of the mess that they make it’s pretty great and good value of money.

Good for two Midwest cage changes (~16 square feet)
I love this litter, it expands better than any other litter I tried and it’s super fluffy. I have a Midwest guinea pig cage (approx 8 sq feet of space) & can generally get two cage changes out of one bag. My babies love their cage changes. :)

AWESOME as Cat Litter
I'm an older cat owner in a multi-cat household. Buying litter, carrying it in the house, emptying litter boxes - it was all getting too much for me, and all of it was WAY TOO HEAVY. Not to mention the expense of clay-based litter, and the plastic jugs I had to recycle. I was looking around for alternatives - had tried pine, wood shavings - if it's on the market - I've tried it, and more than once. Bottom line - all 'cat' options never hit the sweet spot for me of no fragrance, cost-to-benefit ratio, weight, ease of use on the mom (me). And one day I found this product. It's amazing. I get many many litter box refills from the largest bag of bedding, the cats like it, its the right price, so easy for me to use, to carry in the house, no odor. The house doesn't smell like "cats" because I'm able to change litter quickly and easily, and most importantly, frequently. I love this product. Full disclosure: the downside is that there is tracking - but there is with any litter. My portable vac quickly takes care of the tracking. This product is a godsend for older owners who can't schlep around the weight of 20-pound bags of pine, or heavy jugs of clay litter. So glad I found this supplier. The product has been clean, bug free, odor-free, and it ships quickly. Wish I could put it on subscription

The best value on paper bedding I have found
So we have six Guinea pigs, in three different cages! These two bags can do almost three cage changes. That is a very good value, compared to buying in store bedding, so size wise we love it. This is a very soft bedding, it does not clump and become sticky. It’s white, so you will be able to see soiled areas to spot change. It does keep smell down, just as well as any other paper bedding. The product it’s self is very versatile, a good compost base.

The best bedding I've found yet.
I accidentally reviewed a different brand here, previously. I'm editing it now as I confused two different orders in my order historyI have yet to find a bedding as high quality as this. I've tried (hence the need to distinguish that my previously less that stellar review was for a different brand, CareFresh to be specific) other brands and other materials, but there is just no beating small pet select. You can feel the quality when you work with it, it fluffs more than other brands, so you can fill more volume with it, though this is not as important as you might think because you should be allowing the material to get compacted such that your animal can burrow and build solid tunnels within it (if you keep a burrowing pet like a hamster.)It's softer and definitely seems to meet its low dust level claims.Don't take the risk with other brands, your pet's health is in your hands. Just commit to budgeting for Small Pet Select and give them the best, healthiest life possible.

Good BUT Inconsistent with gloves and tape
For context I purchased both the 175L and the 56L bag. I have listed below the pros and cons in detail.TLDR: The bedding itself is very absorbent and soft. It has a papery feel and not a tissue feel like kaytee has for example. However, one bag was full of not only painters tape but also RUBBER GLOVES while the other was perfectly fine.PROS- its more absorbent than any other bedding I have used- not that dusty but could use some work- i was allergic to something inside the bedding, but it was practically unscented which is better for my hamsters- i wasn't exactly soft as it is not very plushy or as compactible as other bedding I have tried, but my hamsters seem to actually like that better so I list it as a pro. Essentially it is more papery feeling than tissue feeling- more of a personal preference but I like the color! it has natural bits and white bits which match my cage lolCONS- 175L bag was practically pristine. Usually I find a couple pieces of painters tape or gloves in any bag but there was none in this one. HOWEVER, the 56L bag had multiple pieces of rubber gloves in every handful I grabbed without fail. Since it was late and I was very very tired, I was in a rush and didn't take any photos of the gloves. I wish I did so more people would heed my warning, but this is a pretty common problem with bedding brands so I am not surprised and it is definitely just a consistency issue. Im sure the 56L was a bad batch, but still very disappointing,- not compactible. I practically put my full weight on my hands trying to compact the bedding but it still does not hold burrows as well as the more plushy bedding i've tried. Its still decent but not the best
