Wow was sceptical but this really works.I have a small cabinet and the plastic shelf supports are loose and sometimes come out, the holes into which they insert are a bit large.I put a small amount of this on each support, inserted them into the holes and replaced the shelf.Holding the shelf down on the supports so they are all in alignment I then shone the lamp onto each support for about 10 seconds.And each one was now rock solid.Really great you can make adjustments and take your time before fixing them with the lamp.Only consideration is the tube is black so you can't see how much you have left.

I purchased this primarily to test it out as you just never know when you will need something like a super glue and thought i would give it a try considering all the hype that it can fix things like, wood, plastics, metals etc. and thought if it does what it says then this means little to no risk of getting fingers super glued together.Once I got into the Amazon outer packaging along side my other item that I had ordered, was a white box, which in itself was already open - that made me wonder if the item was a previous returns item. Inside the box was this orange/black pen like gizmo, nothing else. No basic instructions, no leaflet, nothing at all just this this orange/black pen like gizmo. Not even a cellophane wrapper which was a surprise but as we don't need more waste plastic that was no issue.It was obvious which end was the light and the little switch was also a give away, slide the switch and on comes the light. [turn it off again! ] Next I removed the lid from the other end and was met with what I would describe as a black soft plastic or rubber sheath which was covering a very small tube [probably similar in diameter to a sowing needle] and this of course is where the liquid gel or what ever you want to call it comes out. You have to squeeze the pen body to make this happen and this needs to be done gently to avoid any overload of liquid. So now to test it out. I have a steel spoon, a display spoon, that at the top of the handle has a plinth, on that plinth stands the character "Robin Hood" which had broken off the spoon. We are taking tea spoon size spoon and a character that is perhaps 1/2" to 5/8" tall [12 -15mm] so we are talking relatively small here. Dabbed a bit of this liquid on and used the light - i can't say "as directed" because there were no directions/instructions to follow - but I shone this light all around the spoon [around the break and glue point] for best part of 20 seconds [ only supposed to take 5] . Absolutely nothing in the way of adhesion. Tried a second time - same result!! . Asked my wife to try and she failed to get any adhesion either. I tried for my 3rd time - 4th attempt in all and this time there was very limited adhesion. Now I have read on the internet that this stuff can cure in natural sunlight, so it has since been left in sunlight all day and yet the bond remains poor. The slightest touch to Robin hood and he moves!! Whilst he is stuck in place the slightest of knocks and off he will come - there is no strength to the adhesion and I suspect that even in it's cabinet Robin Will fall from his spoon in a few weeks time if not just a few days time. So in hindsight this product in my opinion does NOT do what it states. And whilst I made the purchase very much as a test, I was left very very disappointed as quite frankly a piece of chewing gum would have done a much better job of joining the parts together again.SO, IN ESSENCE THIS PRODUCT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY, AND I WOULD 100% "NOT RECOMMEND" THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE EVEN IF I WAS HIGHLY PAID TO RECOMMEND IT!!! [ I just could not lower myself to do such a thing to anyone]

I was surprised that this works so well. It is simple and clean. to use. I particularly like having the ability to place the glue and there is a short time when the two pieces can be moved a perfect position and only becomes securely fixed after the application of UV light.

Just what I've been looking for, but the price is quite expensive for what you get. All the similar items on amazon are the same price, so had no choice.......

Used this to repair a glass display case. Works well but you don't get much adhesive for the price. There is no indication of the glue volume on the Amazon site, and no indication on the packaging.

I purchased for sealing some plastic together, I noticed there was a nasty smell when using the gel, I then popped the light part on, it did nothing! I believe it’s a blue Bulb not anything special. Glue did not work.

Excellent idea and piece of design. Avoids the usual ugly spillage of excess superglue. Allows you to place the glue in a precise spot. (NB This assumes you want a fine repair on a small light object). First few uses, once a week or once a fortnight, were entirely successful. But after about 3 months for some reason - decay of the compound? alteration in the UV light? - it became useless: however long the UV is shone on a small drop of glue, it fails to harden; and the next day will still be sticky.
