Great flavor and awesome fresh aroma.
I love to use garlic in all my cookings and the convenience of having readily accessible bottled dried garlic powder is a must have for any kitchen. I normally buy my garlic powder from Costco so I can save some money by buying bulk, but sometimes those huge bottles of garlic powder starts clumping up after awhile. That is why when I see a deal on the smaller bottled stuff I jump on it and order. The Eastanbul garlic powder seasoning comes in a 5.3oz plastic bottle. The bottle is sealed with an aluminum foil to keep in the freshness. However, when my arrived I could already see that some had spilled out, as the bottle and bag was a bit coated with a dusting of garlic powder. I checked the foil and noticed that one of the edges the foil was not glued on properly and must have lifted up at some point to let some of the powder out. That's unfortunate but enough of the powder was still there and the aroma of the garlic was intoxicating. I really liked how fresh it smelled. The powder had a nice fine consistency and was not clumpy in the bottle. I used some of the garlic powder for a meal and it turned out so flavorful and aromatic. Overall, this was a great buy but the quality check should be improved to avoid bottles that aren't sealed correctly.

Packaging not sealed! Spices has Clumps.
I have had multiple jars of these spices come clumped up. The seal they are using is flimsy and not air tight

Exactly what I ordered. One problem the lid doesnât seal but the product is good. The hassle of the lid gives this a 3 star rating

Very fine powder different from granulated
My January 2024 order of âEastanbul Garlic Powder 5.3oz Garlic Powder Seasoning 100% Natural Finely Ground Non-Granulatedâ arrived with an intact foil consumer protection under the lid and a Best Before date of August 20 2025. The country of origin is Turkey, and the label also indicates Non-GMO. The Nutrition Facts panel states a serving of 1/4 tsp contains 4 calories and 1mg of salt. The product listing clearly describes this spice as âfinely groundâ and ânon-granulatedâ; accordingly, this garlic powder is different from the typical (larger particle) granulated garlic powder I am used to getting in my local grocery stores. Some cooking web sites I checked indicate that you would normally use less finely ground garlic powder in a recipe compared to granulated garlic powder â some sites suggested using half the amount. So that is something to keep in mind when using this product. As far as taste, I compared this garlic powder to a granulated garlic I already had in my cupboard, and the two tasted similar to me (when consuming a tiny amount by itself). This particular Eastanbul powder is about three times the cost of another popular brandâs granulated garlic powder, but if it is true that less can be used in every recipe then perhaps that cost differential evens out.

Good flavor, just wish they'd made the "sprinkle" spout a bit smaller, it pours out, goes everywhere
This is as good as any garlic powder we've tried from other brands, so overall we're quite pleased with Eastanbul's efforts on that front.Where this stuff could improve is making it so the powder doesn't go everywhere when you try to pour just a little. The lid holes for the "sprinkle" option are comically large for a powder like this, so as you're going to give it a light sprinkle, a full teaspoon or more can fall out resulting in a drastically over-seasoned dish. You might joke and say "Can you ever have too much garlic?"Yes. Yes you absolutely can, especially when a huge pile of it lands on a one inch square of pizza crust, preventing you from really being able to pick it back up and redistribute it more evenly.Hope whoever gets that inch of crust REALLY likes garlic. So to recap:Flavor: GreatCap: in need of redesign. A true recap experience.***Overall Value***This is a LOT of garlic powder for $7 (at the time of review), really it's hard to argue with the value you're getting out of this big bottle.

Tasty garlic powder that blends in quickly
This garlic powder from Eastanbul is finely ground and flavorful. While the scent is mild, the taste is robust and quite potent. I found this garlic powder an easy way to add a kick to my tuna salad sandwich filling and quickly boost the flavor of homemade chili. Although I noticed that the foil seal on my jar wasn't fully secured around, leading to some dust stirring up, the generous quantity in the plastic jar outweighs some minor leakage before it arrived. The flip-up lid is a notable feature, offering two different sizes of shaker-style openings. This is a departure from the more common design with one shaker opening and a separate opening for easy measuring spoon access. The sample I received has an expiration date set two years from the production date, which is reasonable for garlic powder.
