So, after looking through many products and reviews i choose this. Here's how it went. Product arrived in shelf packaging only. Box was broken open and product was dented on it's base. I returned next day. I then in 2 days later received a replacement. Box was inside an Amazon shipping box. Item box was also broken open, not sealed, and lock tab was missing. Product was in better shape compared to first one but still has a smaller dent in base!! W.t.f. Too tired to get this one swapped out, I'll keep. As far as look and operation, i like so far. Have a white back splash and this white towel holder is good for that. Will never buy from this seller again!!! Oh, and forget about using "Bounty". Roll is too large. You think that this mnufctr wd spend the time to know this and make this just a tad larger. It wouldn't have to be much wider, maybe 1/8" ! They would have SO MUCH more in sales if they did. Also, the 4 rubber feet they stick onto the bottom are not quite thick enough. If you tilt the holder just a tiny amount while moving it even slightly, you'll get that old chalk board screetch! I glued larger ones on and rectified the issue. Idiot's!

I know, I know, 'How dare you assume that these papertowels haven't identified as tea and crumpet doilies?!'... I'm at a loss for words at my true shame in regards to my assumptions, but alas I shall blithely bumble through this review 😉.While it seems to be absolutely sufficient for a regular size roll of paper towels, it is quite insufficient for the majority of rolls you buy pretty much ANYWHERE. Just as TP has gone jumbo roll, so has the paper towel.Other than that I enjoy everything about it. I love the overall design; and I love the black which works well with the chrome. Woe is me... lol. Ok I'm done.

The media could not be loaded.  Wow, much better than expected.When I received this holder, I was pleasantly surprised that the box it came in was a nice looking retail box. So many of the items I get through Amazon are in a plain cardboard box which don't do well for gifts; because of this, I will purchase again as a house warming gift.The product itself is made very well and looks better than I anticipated.I am a frequent Costco shopper and buy all of my paper towel rolls from there and I was concerned when I saw the chart for this holder that said some roll sizes would not fit. I happened to have both the Costco Bounty and Kirkland rolls in my house, and both fit. That being said, the Kirkland roll is thicker than the Bounty roll and it was snug. After I removed 5 half-sheets, the roll fit perfectly. The Bounty fit perfect right out of the package.I don't really care about the 1-hand tear and did not purchase this product for that reason, however, I can tell you that this is the easiest 1-hand tear roll I have ever used (see attached videos). I tested it with both the Bounty and Kirkland rolls.Very happy with the purchase and will have this saved in my favorites for future gifts.

**I did not receive any type of compensation for this purchase or review** Until a recent kitchen remodel, I hated the thought of any paper towel holder taking up precious space on my countertop but my husband hated the "plastic thing" mounted on the wall (which didn't fit mega rolls anyway). The stainless steel/black of this holder fits well with my new appliances and satin nickel cabinet knobs. The holder is well balanced, my brand of mega roll fits with a little room to spare and the black wrap around towel holder keeps the towel in place nicely. I don't normally do a lot of quick, one-handed dispensing but have been forced to during the remodeling and I have not once had the holder tip over. I have been able to tear off a single or half sheet with one hand using a fairly empty roll of towels. The finish looks great and there are no sharp edges. The shipping was quick, the item is contained inside its own retail type box and there is no assembly required. The seller contacted me after the sale to follow up on my purchase.

There is little practical value to this item other than perhaps it looks better than just having a roll sitting on the counter. So far as being actually able to tear off a sheet with one hand, that is not doable in any fashion that makes this useful. So if you only buy it for looks then it may be worth it; if you buy it to dispense paper towels easily, this doesn't serve your purpose in my view.UPDATE 11 27/16: I have raised the rating to FOUR stars. I have found with a larger paper towel and/or a new one properly loaded and/or with certain brands of towels, that it does allow for easier dispensing (often with one hand) than I first thought. Thus I would recommend this based on my experience over the past couple months.

Up until now, we've always gotten the generic under-the-cupboard paper towel holders. Those seem like a great idea, but (at least with the ones we've owned) the roll is constantly dislodging. So, when I snapped the arm of our existing holder, I decided to get something different.At this moment in time, I love this thing. The weighting is perfect - it stays in place, but is not so heavy that it's a problem if you want to move it. And, while the manufacturer states "there is no such thing as a one-hand paper towel dispenser" - I don't have any problem with removing a paper towel with just one hand... just be sure your roll is positioned so the towel is tearing against the taller side.The holder seems very well made, and looks nice. It also holds the jumbo "choose your size" rolls we buy from the grocery store.If you're looking for a paper towel holder, I think you should order this one.
