First time trying these type of connectors. Needed something waterproof for wiring boat trailer lights. Very impressed with them. Did a test on a loop of wire. Slide connector on, Twist wire ends together, and use a high temp heat gun. Shrink tubing tightens up on wire, sealing bands on ends of connectors melt to make a tight seal, then you see the solder ring melt and connect wires. I let it cool down and pulled wire for a strength test. The wire broke, but not at the connection. Be sure to use a high temp heat gun and make sure you see the solder ring melt.

Great set to have for any diy person .Used a few and all seems okI do wish the solder points were a tad wider .

decent quality and a lot of variety in sizes. the plastic did not melt. solder reached proper temp to fuse the wires. no cold joints.
