These bulbs were very easy to set up and connected to Alexa. I love how many options they have for different colors, brightness levels, and light temperatures. The app includes several preset scenes, but you can also customize your own. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the white light options range from a warm glow to a bright cool white. They make it easy to change the mood of a room with just a voice command or a few taps in the app.

I've installed quite a few smart bulbs over the years, and these are by far the easiest ones I've set up. As soon as I applied power, the bulbs were instantly recognized by the Alexa app. From there, setup was almost effortless, just scan the QR code, assign a name, and they were ready to go. No hunting for pairing mode, no repeated connection attempts, and no unnecessary frustration. The bulbs work exactly as expected and integrate seamlessly with Alexa. If you're already in the Amazon ecosystem and want a smart bulb that's quick and painless to install, these are an excellent choice. Sometimes it's nice when a product simply does what it's supposed to do, and these certainly do.

I finally tried one of these smart bulbs. I have many smart switches and devices in my house but most all of my light switches are dimmer switches (and most are not LED dimmer compatible either) so i haven't tried one of these until now. My hallway/stairway light only has a switch at the top of the steps. It doesn't bother me but my guests are often freaked out. Decided i'd put this bulb in that ceiling fixture and i could set a timer to have it on as soon as it's dark. I love the dimming and color choices and it works flawlessly with the app. Using with voice control on my echo devices is very wonky (but that often does not work even playing music, and i tend to connect my phone to the echo via bluetooth to play music or else Alexa does whatever she pleases when i ask by voice). So far if i ask Alexa to turn this light on, she says she can't connect and then i ask a second time and it comes on. If i use the app, it comes on immediately. However if i ask alexa to turn my lamps on which are controlled by Govee switches, it's immediate with no glitch, so it must be something with the nature of a smart bulb vs a smart switch. Definitely not a deal breaker for me as i generally prefer using the app to speaking.

This is a great product, you can set the color to whatever you want, connect it to alexa, set it on “routines” so say, the light automatically turns on with your alarm. Im giving 4 stars because about a month after getting it, it did NOT want to connect to anything and was stubbornly like this for 6 months before it magically decided to cooperate again. This meant no automations, no routines, and no custom color settings. I admittedly did not contact amazon when this happened and just used it like a normal lightbulb during this time.

These are simply plug and play, turning any basic light into a smart light controlled by my Alexa app on my phone or by voice commands to my echo dot. I have various brands’ smart switches and devices throughout my home. As far as setup goes, these are by far the simplest. Each bulb setup took <1 minute. The color and temperature choices are unlimited if you’re into mood lighting or want a night light etc. I just wanted to turn on and off bathroom lights when my hands were full or I had to go in the middle of the night. They’re expensive so I bought used from Amazon Warehouse which was a great deal for me. No problems whatsoever.

Works well. Auto connect to Alexa. Nice colors. Will order more

Since Amazon discontinued updates with Sengled in Oct 2025 which became random disconnects and manual resets in different rooms. Asked Alexa about this, who told me what the deal is. So, looked up bulbs. Went with Amazon for more $ than the other two brands Alexa recommended due to they are suppose to come preset up. Mind you, I ordered 12 bulbs. Figured I’d begin with one and see how it goes. Two hours later, trouble shooting every single possible option … no bueno. The bulb would not connect to wifi. I tried a different one, still no bueno. Today, third order of four arrives. Armed with how to run the scenarios grid a bulb, still no bueno. Did not work. The bulb yesterday, with the help of Alexa eventually popped onto the Alexa app screen. But, even with manual attempts, we get to the add WiFi. First, my network at any attempt did not show on screen. So manual add. Here, wtf is “security” asked about. These are different options. This is when internet securities were invented they have different initials like WEP and so on. I tried them all. My firmware is updated by my internet provider. So it wasn’t this. Not once did the Alexa app accept me manually adding my network and password. I tried every possible scenario and Alexa (echo dot) sent back reports to Amazon for them to figure their end out. The only thing I’m guessing may be the issue, bulbs are slow internet 2.4GHz and I’ve got both 2.4 and 5. There’s no way for me to know for sure. To top this off, the Alexa app sticks when the password fails. So I have to power the phone off to reset the app to get back in. So much for spending more to get preset Amazon bulbs, yes I clicked the box for this before purchasing all bulbs. That’s almost three hours of my life including this review I can’t get back. Disappointed in the promise of preset like all my other devices and TV but a little lightbulb causes all this hiccuping. All bulbs going back. Imma stick with Sengled. Reset them if they jump off line. And try the other brand Alexa recommended. I know these bulbs would work great if they’d connect. Since they won’t I’ll try something else. As I need the set up for when I travel and also it helps to have them wifi for when I’m carrying stuff or forget a bulb. It’s like having an extra helper. Which is why in 2020 began using the Amazon products. Can’t review the bulbs because they won’t set up. But wanted to leave my review for anyone who thinks of buying and runs into a wall during set up. Can’t recommend these. If you have Alexa ask for the two bulb company recommends. They’re half as much. My only concern is will they be discontinued like Sengled. Who knows. This is why I went with Amazon and paid more. Not worth the hassle because they will not connect despite every direction followed and the help do the echo dot guiding me with extra options Booooo smh

The first time I got one of these, my children and husband were so impressed with my ability to tap my phone and change the color and dimness level that I became a fan immediately. It lasted me about 6 months until a partially grounded outlet burned it and it began to only be either all the way bright white on or all the way off. Alexa let me know that the bulb was no longer responsive, so I ordered another one, for the functionality and the control. Once I ordered it, I was able to program it through my Amazon account before it even arrived. I was impressed that once I turned on Bluetooth on my phone, the bulb immediately registered into my app, and I was back in the driver's seat. So I did a demonstration for my 2 year old by changing the color of the light from white to purple, then to red, and then blue, and yellow. He was so happy and I loved seeing him laugh about it. The bulb is the universal size of light bulbs and easy to adjust, high quality and very versatile in its usage. I plan to get one for my bedside table and other lamps around my home that take universal bulbs. Thank you for this awesome product!

Me gustó los focos, aunque los colores como que no son correctos (no recuerdo que color) Pero solo es un color al decirlo y con la app se cambia bien los colores y el brillo. Se emparejaron bien a la aplicación, al inicio 2 focos tuve que emparejar prendiendo y apagando el Switch 6 veces y el otro foco ya se emparejó automáticamente (estando en la app de Alexa Amazon). La luz está bien al ponerlo al maximo y frío.

So far so great. Easy to pair...love the color changes. Id def purchase again. I still have 2...love them!

Got 2 packs of these suckers and replaced all my bulbs and added a couple more with plug-in light sockets. It's almost celebrial how cool these lights can make your room look. They can be a little glitchy at times but so can my wifi on my brand new phone. The whites are a lot brighter. Seems to be a separate LED for white with slight addition from red or blue for warm and cool respectively. Excellent for any application, they are dimmable so fully customizable in that respect.
