Q: How many inches do these measure toe to top? The description says 24' (a typo). I'm assuming 24" but want to confirm.

They vary, from 19in to 25in. I have calf size of 13in and only 2 pair actually fit. All were way to tight on the thigh to be worn there. The argyle, dots and hearts left indents on my legs. And the blue ones arrived with holes. I would suggest putting your money elsewhere unless this is a one time wear and your legs are less than 13in at the calf and 17in at the thigh. Sorry!

Q: Will these fit well on someone with big thighs?

I'm not sure what is considered having big thighs. I'm 5'10" 225 lbs & the socks stretch up above my knees.

Q: Are the polka dot, heart, and star patterns tighter than the striped ones? I've had that happen before but don't remember which brand of knee socks.

Yes and a little bit shorter. And harder to push them up.

Q: Will they be over the knee if I’m 5’8 tall?

Not sure my daughter is 5' 4" and they are over her knees
