This headsets noise cancelling feature is the best! It site in my head very comfortably and the sound quality it perfect. If this headset ever gets old, I am definitely coming back to lightspeed!

Amazing headset
So far I’m only 2 flights in with it, but wow!! So far it checks all the boxes! I didn't want o spend $1400 for Bose A30s, or $1200 for the Lightspeed deltas. II’ve read reviews Bose is not supporting the A20s anymore so this seemed like a great option. Honestly I couldn't be happier! The noise canceling is amazing, headset is nice and loud, Kevlar wrapped cord seems great, and overall build quality feels nice and solid. Only worry I have is seems the ANR control box seems a little flimsy. Overall I’m super happy with this purchase and after using the loaners from my flight school this is a serious upgrade!

Lightweight, comfortable, awesome noise canceling, worth every penny
Great headset, comfortable, noise canceling is awesome....only minor complaint is at this price point $899)...why not include a premium name brand set of batteries. I just chuckled as I opened the packaging and found this premium headset with a set of batteries that were "lacking in premium stature" only thing I could see that would improve this purchase process. Seems silly I know.....but gosh...$900 for a headset with a set of 25 cent batteries...just made me chuckle a bit.

Great headset
I had the Bose A20s before and had to send them back after 2 years due to a noise when I turned them on. I went with the light speeds because they were 200$ cheaper. So far I honestly like them better than the Bose.

Good noise cancellation / High quality construction
I bought a PFX previously and had to return it because of the problematic noise cancellation. The Zulu 3 retains the same high quality workmanship that I liked in the PFX, but the noise cancellation works fine. The cancellation does not seem to be as aggressive as the PFX. I am using these in a Van's RV-6. My cockpit is very loud with both low frequency engine noise plus high frequency wind sound. The Z3 does a very good job. The clamping force seems a fair amount higher than the Bose, and these headsets feel heavier than Bose. Neither is remotely objectionable. The higher clamping force is better, I think, for the higher noise environment. The ear cup is the largest I have personally used. My ears are pretty big, yet there is ample room. The headsets also work fine for music listening. I would not mistake them for even moderate quality audiophile headsets, but for listening to music while flying along, they are fine -- noticeably better than most. I did not do an A-B immediate comparison, but my perception is they sound a modest amount better than Bose.At this point, I have flown 10 hours with these headsets. Definitely happy with them. In contrast I have flown 500 hours with Bose headsets over the years. Bose are fine headsets, no question. I got the Lightspeeds instead of Bose because I think they are better for a really high noise environment, and the Lightspeed seems sturdier. For a quieter cockpit, I might get the Bose instead because of the lighter weight and lower clamping force. I am saying both those qualities without double checking the measured values for the two. That is just my subjective perception.
