Edit Aug 2024: I’ve taken this watch swimming in shallow water, unfortunately the band instantly discolored. When I approached the company about this they said I was out of luck and to try and brush it off. I’ve never had a watch band discolor like this before and thought the customer service was terrible. They claim it is able to be swam in but the band is ruined. Minus 1 star for the junky band. minus another star for the bad customer service. Original review: Picked up a new watch that I felt was fairly unique. The Boderry seaturtle is a Japanese made affordable automatic watch. The quality and materials of the watch and accessories is terrific for the price. I was really impressed with the excellent packaging and travel case it came with. My initial impressions have been positive, I hope with time it’ll continue to hold up nicely.

Looks good, comfortable, and seems very durable. A really fun watch to wear.

For the price, unique look and function it’s a great watch. Made in China yes but that does not make it a bad watch. Boderry’s use of a Seiko movement makes it a keeper. Not a certified dive watch but I’m not a diver. Are you? Unless you are Jacque Cousteau wannabe who cares. I like the look of divers and have many high end middle end and lower end divers. Looks amazing and since purchase it is performing flawlessly. A great buy in my opinion. As of date Boderry is a quality micro brand watch maker.

Boderry has some good value watches. I've been wearing this one about a month now. I have the Voyager also. Both the Voyager and Seaturtle have good accuracy for automatic watches in this price range. The Voyager has the Seiko NH35 movement. The currently available Seaturtle model from Amazon (Nov 23) comes with the Miyota 8215. This is not a problem for me as the indirect drive second is barely noticeable. It does not hack. The Boderry website has listed the Seaturtle with NH35 movement for the last several months. The date on my case back is 2022. If the Miyota movement bothers you, you might want to look elsewhere for the Seaturtle or wait for newer stock (And likely a higher price). Overall, I really like this watch and would buy it again if something happened to this one.

While the watch and the design are nice and unique, the watch seems like it had some quality issues. Specially with the luminous markers and the dial. 2 of the indices did not Illuminate and the dial did not glow as shown in the pictures. I returned it and am waiting for the refund now.
