A Table saw got him, ouch...

Just like the ones at the hospital
I cut my thumb pretty badly on a mandolin (use the finger guard!!) and I couldn’t get stitches because there was nothing to bring together. The doctor put one of these on the wound and then wrapped it to keep the gauze from sticking and I clung to these like a life preserver. When i ran out of the ones i got from the hospital, i found these and they are literally the exact same product. Worked perfectly. Saved my life. Or at least saved me a lot of pain in my thumb. They’re moist without being wet, if that makes sense. So it keeps your wound from drying out but it doesn’t introduce water under your bandage.

A welcome addition to my home first aid kit
I ordered this to add to my home first aid kit as I have lamented not having a similar dressing in the past. The product is as described. The tape is laden with a petrolatum "blend", although it's not clear what the blend is. I can definitely smell the petrolatum (not my favorite smell) but I can't identify anything else - it just smells like petrolatum to me. The tape can be cut to size, and it will be a bit messy. Nonetheless, the tape can cover the wound and stay in place but not "stick" to it. The dressing will keep it moist, and then you cover it with another dressing to keep it clean and in place. I did test it, but didn't have a wound to test it on. I do feel confident that when used as intended, it should do the job and not cause damage to a tender site when removing the tape. That's what I was looking for, and it appears that is what I got.

Strip size is perfect and cuts easy to fit. Don't stick too the wound at all.
This project is perfect for large area care, helped with the healing process well.
