These are really cool.I got these primarily for our emergency kits. You never know when the weather is going to wreak havoc and leave you without power or a fuel source. These put off enough heat for heating up some water, soup or other food types that need to be heated. Aside from being able to use it as a cooking source, it also provides some heat if needed. The tins aren't very big and aren't really heavy, so they don't take up too much space and won't weigh you down. Definitely worth having for an emergency kit whether at home or on the road.

I didn't know what to expect from a campfire in a can, but I was pleasantly surprised.It's about the size of your palm, with 5 large wicks. Once all wicks are lit, they fuse together to form a decent flame that actually puts out a decent amount of warmth if you are sitting close to it.I use it out on my screened porch when the temps are cold. It's nice to have a small campfire no matter where you are. Just make sure the surface you place it on can withstand some heat.

We used one of these on New Year's night (haven't used the second one yet). We lit it while we were out enjoying some fireworks. It produces a decent amount of heat while sitting right next to it, but not a ton to keep you truly warm. It was more just to provide some extra light in the area we were sitting. It fire pit itself does get REALLY hot, and I think it should only be used outdoors with how it burns. I can see how you would be tempted to think it would work indoors as it seems like a glorified candle, but I feel like it gives off enough heat and with the wood burning, it would create more smoke and fire hazard than you would want inside. I used the lid to extinguish it after use, but it was too hot to pick up. We left it outside until the next morning. Also, it really doesn't smell like a fire but more like just candle wax, so you lose some of that fire smell you might want. It would be nice if the candle was scented to smell more like a fireplace. Overall a good product, but there is a little room for improvement.

The media could not be loaded.  Good. I did not know what to expect when ordering a mini campfire, but this turned out great. It resembles a candle with five large "wicks" that light easily and stay lit in a good wind. I set it on a patio table while taking a cigar break when it was in the high 40 degree range and gusty. The campfire stayed lit (easily) and put off some good warmth for keeping my hands warm and I could feel the warmth on my face. The instructions say to put it on a surface that can take heat, so I was extra cautious and used a brick. I don't think it would have been necessary. I built a heat reflector out of a box and some aluminum foil and that worked even better. After a couple hours, I put the lid on the campfire and the flame went out immediately. The lid did get really hot (as it should) and if removed immediately, there is a lot of smoke... my smoking partner said, "don't do that"... and if I were inside, it would have made quite a smell in the house. There was plenty of fuel left in the candle after a couple hours when I put it out and likely there is a couple hours of fuel left. Overall, this was a lot better than I thought it would be and is something I look forward to using many times.

I wanted to use this indoors, because I don't have a fireplace and I thought it would add ambiance to Christmas morning.It worked. It is basically a big candle with 5 giant wicks that makes lots of fire. After about 2 hours, there was a noticable haze in the room, like I'd lit 2 incense sticks. Tolerable, but it was there.The fire was actually big and even crackled a little bit.It is VERY hot. It says to only place on heat proof surfaces, and it isn't kidding. I put it on top of something plastic, and I thought I'd be OK putting the lid and a stone coaster under it. Nope. The stone coster got so hot it melted the plastic. The candle got so hot it completely burned the label into unrecgonizablity.Blowing it out at the end produces a massive amount of smoke. Recommend you cover it to extinguish, then leave the cover on for a half hour or so.All in all, it did work and add great ambiance for Christmas morning, but heed the directions, they aren't kidding.

Fire easily lights like a standard candle and does not have any fumes or ashes. Fire urns for several hours and does produce heat for small space. Good camping or outdoor fire pit.
