I've tried several brands. They were all pretty similar.I did think that two brands - Covington Green Grass Paint & Enviro Color Grass Paint - provided slightly better coverage and deeper colors.All of them claim to be eco friendly and pet safe, which is good.None of them provided as much coverage as I'd hoped. I really think they're ideal for spot treatments. I couldn't imagine doing a whole yard with this, unless it's a tiny yard.I'm giving PetraMax a thumbs up, but I always encourage people to shop around and read reviews. Other brands may work better depending on your situation, your color grass, and what you're wanting to achieve.Here are some other tips:Make sure to pick out the color that's right for your lawn. PetraMax has many color options.How fast you burn through 32 ounces will depend on what kind of sprayer you're using. But I can almost guarantee it won't cover 1250 square feet, unless you are very experienced in applying this.There are many factors that go into how long this will last. But don't expect it to last more than a few weeks max.Many complaints regarding grass paint are due to user error. Do yourself a favor and watch instruction videos PRIOR to ordering. Just like a paint sprayer for house paint, there may be some trial and error in method and getting the correct spray setting (and distance from grass). The recommended nozzle on your sprayer is the yellow fan-tip spray nozzle.Just like any paint, you want to shake it really well.Make sure to mow and rake first, so you're not wasting spray on thatch or loose debris. Shorter grass requires less paint.Depending on sun, your climate zone, and other factors, keep in mind dark colors may burn your grass.Don't apply any liquid to grass (including paint) in hot weather with the sun out. If you're watering your lawn at high noon in the middle of summer you are probably contributing to killing your own grass. The sun will heat up your liquid and burn your grass. Wait until it's cool, slightly overcast, late in the day, etc.

It's incredible, I didn't think it would work so well!! I painted what was a lot of dry grass very easily with just one pass with this wonder and woala! New grass everywhere! It looks so good that even by looking very closely you won't realize it's painted grass. And also very resistant. Since I painted it it has rained 3 times and the color is still there intact! Painting is super simple, you will only need a sprayer and start coloring that grass.

Tested on my semi-dormant Bermuda grass and it turned out to be great. Yes, for the closeup you can still see the difference between the dye and the real grass, but the overall look is great from a distance!One thing to mention is that you'll need a quality sprayer to paint the grass evenly, and you also need to pay attention to those unwanted areas.

I ordered this for an outdoor photo shoot. Because the time of the year it is all the grass is brown, so we needed something that could change that. This did the trick. It is very concentrated, so a little goes far. Try a small area to get the color that you want. It came out amazing. Great product!
