One year later...
I really like the ease of using this hose! I have a very long driveway that needs watering along the side. I've bought sturdy no-kink hoses with hopes they would be useful but they are more of a work out and at 100ft there's a lot to have to coil up when I'm done AND the idea of not kinking is a joke. This hose has been really awesome since it's light weight and almost puts it's self away. I have had it kink but a quick little flip or twist and it typically fixes its self. I made sure to bring it in for the winter and am now well into a second summer of use.The only complaint I have, outside of the fact is can get knotted (but that is more due to user error) is that the screw that holds the on/off valve on has continually fallen out and is now lost. An annoyance for sure but not enough of one to get rid of the hose. I did come here to see if I could contact the company about getting a replacement but don't see anyway of contacting them and since my return window is long gone I am not really sure what to do.Otherwise, I really have enjoyed this hose, enough so that we have a second for the back yard and to continue using the one I have. I think I will probably just add one of the quick disconnect segments for nozzles since those have an on/off valve.

This thing is 99% better than any hose I have ever had
This thing is 99% better than any hose I have ever had. The only thing that is very annoying is the lack of water pressure. It's mostly not a problem but compared to our normal hose I can see the difference when watering plants deep in our garden. A regular hose can spray pretty far but this one will not unless it's on the "jet" setting. Since it's a 100 footer it's not awful to walk farther into the garden and that is the only drawback. It's so much lighter, easier to maneuver, has the built valve at the business end, connects so much easier because it's so much more flexible, and it takes up way less space. I threw away our hold hose after it developed permanent kinks and even this is tied in a knot it still works. It can and does get kinks but I don't have to fight it to make them go away. This is also small enough to hide in a pot something nicer than a hose reel as well. I'm almost ready to buy another one for the front yard I am that impressed with it.

Not great...
I really wanted to like this. I have loved my pocket hose and was thrilled to find a version that was much cheaper. I guess you definitely get what you pay for. In all fairness, this hose is not that bad. It isn't so bad that I wanted to return it. The biggest problem I have is that once you turn on the water and the pressure builds in the hose, as soon as you use it, the pressure goes down. The original pocket hose does not do this. Now once you stop watering, the pressure builds back up relatively quickly but that is a pain having to stop periodically so that the hose can build pressure back up again. I thought it might be my actual water pressure at my house but I used another hose and had no problems with pressure. Maybe it is because I bought one so long but it is not great at holding pressure. I am not going to return it but once it breaks I will not be buying another hose with this brand...

Pros and Cons
I've had a couple of expandable hoses that fell apart and began leaking very quick after purchase. This is not one of those. I've had it for several months and it's holding up perfectly. My problem is that I bought the 100 foot long hose - and it's 100 feet long when it's "full" of water and the nozzle is closed. But once you open the nozzle and start to use the water, the hose shrinks significantly. If you don't absolutely NEED a 100 ft. hose, it would be fine. Unfortunately I need 100 feet to reach a garden area. I had to buy a different hose and now use this one at another part of the yard.

This seems like poor workmanship and shouldn't be able to happen
EDIT 07.28.2019: This hose has sprung pinhole sized leaks at both ends of the hose, near the valves. The pinholes spray a small stream and will leak for the duration that water pressure is available. Seeing as both ends have always been raised off the ground, no friction could have caused damage. It appears to be a defect or quality issue with the hose, deteriorating over time. I expect more than 1 year from a hose; would recommend finding a different brand/seller. As my original review posted: Cheap hoses could be cheap, I suppose.EDIT 06.07.2018: MoonLa Direct contacted me for details of the valve failure to work with manufacturing. They offered to make the purchase right and help in any way possible. I would highly recommend this company, as they are strongly attentive to customer satisfaction of their goods and services, regardless of the issue.Original:Hose does what hoses are expected to. While 6 yr old was playing with it, the on/off valve on the hose end managed to lose it's screw into the grass, causing the thumb switch to fall off as well. This seems like poor workmanship and shouldn't be able to happen. Luckily, I found it and was able to return the on/off functionality. The actual operation of the hose has been great and as described - resistant to kinks & knots, never stifling water flow.Cheap hoses could be cheap, I suppose.

No more kinks!
I have been so fed up with these rubber hoses that keep promising to be kink free, etc. It takes so much energy to unwind and rewind those hoses, plus they are never kink free. They are also very heavy and my poor plants take a beating if I accidentally run the hose through them. I will hold off doing any watering because I dread wrestling the stupid rubber hose.I bought this expandable hose not sure what to expect. But I am completely sold! It is amazingly lightweight and so easy to uncurl and maneuver around the yard. It expands from about 30 feet to 100 feet at full pressure. It is a tad less pressure than the rubber hose but not enough to make me want to go back. I can still hose off the sidewalk and water plants. When you’re done it compresses back to the smaller length and stores with no effort at all. So lightweight! I just ordered another one for my front yard! It’s the best!
