QVS Shop 2M X 20M Extra Thick Clear Heavy Duty Polythene Sheeting 250Mu / 1000G

My back yard is mostly paved with bricks, in order to return some life to the garden my Lovely Wife decided we should do container planting. Of course muggins here got told to make the containers to then fill with earth for planting. I did this (see photo) and wanting something inexpensive to line them with to keep the dampness of the soil from rotting the wood (or at least slowing it down), I bought this extra thick polythene sheeting. The 2M x 20M was much more than I needed, but it was barely any more, and in some cases less, than things that were shorter in both dimensions. As such we've got lots left over and have used it for a variety of building jobs, dust sheetings, painting sheets, and even to temporarily seal off a very cold window. Seems really quite good and I still have loads left.

It comes flat packed but is easy to roll into a manageable size. Bought to line the inside of my roof to improve draughts etc, i have not tackled the job yet but the plastic is exactly as I had hoped and will do the job nicely

Delivery was free (for this quantity) and prompt from this company QVS Shop. The product is described as clear, but it is NOT clear, it is translucent (e.g. you cannot see through it), but is perfectly ok for what I need. Thickness is 10/1000 inch (ten thousandths) = 0.254mm I had read in the product details that the company supply it folded up to 10m, and on a roll for longer lengths, so I ordered 20 metres because I needed it to be on a roll. However, despite the 20m order, I received it folded, so I rolled it myself onto some core tube. Halfway through the folded length I found torn areas. No big deal, but a bit disappointing on both counts.

The weather and the winds being so bad virtually destroyed my greenhouse, with this sheeting I was able to save the greenhouse and the plants, it's strong and durable, and lot of it with the off cuts I have used it as a liner for my big plant pots. a good buy.

Product good thick plastic. Translucent rather than clear. Arrived quickly. The pieces I put on a frame over some plants and a piece I put on an outside table have only lasted 12 months. They have lost all of the little plasticity they had and broke up into into many small pieces. I would not expect such a short life of UV stabilised plastic so I have my doubts about the accuracy of the description. So buyer beware if you are a gardener.

An excellent product. We have used this to seal up several large window openings while we wait for new windows to be delivered and fitted in our kitchen extension, which is still under construction. The polythene is thick and durable for this purpose, having kept 'Storm Alexander' at bay over the past weekend. Several questions and other reviews mention the transparency of the plastic. While it is slightly opaque, it does allow sufficient light into the building to allow our builders, electricians and plumbers to continue working without the need for additional lighting. If you're planning on painting a watercolour of the view through it, you ought to consider clear perspex or glass instead! Good quality, good value and easy to cut and handle.

Bought this stuff to cover all the stuff in storage in my loft, as i was concerned it might be soaked during the recent bad weather in the event my roof leaked. Didn't realise how big/heavy the roll would be....you get a lot of sheeting for your money. It's really thick, industrial stuff, very broad too. I chose the clear sheeting, which, due to the thickness of the material, isn't completely transparent (slightly milky....looks like my loft is full of ghosts) but u can see through it well enough, which is handy. Really great quality and excellent value for money.
