love this type of salt!
the best kind of finishing salt I've bought in quite a while. It flakes very well, and doesn't often feel like you've oversalted your food.

Best salt worldwide!
I did not know this Salt before, as I am not originally from England but from Spain. But as a water person, I am very, very attached to the Sea and of course life right at the Sea.I as looking for some really tasty salt as I tend to overdo it with salt - must be a family thing as my father had the same bad habid - and thus for me this salt is absolutely amazing. Thank you for all the other reviews as I could understand why I should pay a bit more for this and what exactly is the the additional value. For more detailed information I had a look at the manufactures site as I want to understand how and by whom a product is produced.Pros:- Very, very good quality- Produced in a ecological way- Handmade as I understood- Cool packaging- Good size for many years of great tasting food- Very intensive taste like a good wine you can feel its origin, feel the sea. Wow!- You need less salt for the same effect, thus a healthy option- It dissolves very easily, so no grinder required anymore. You save more money here than you spent.- Does keep fresh very well even if right next to the oven- Speedy delivery with good packagingCons:n/aVery recommended by a salt lover!!!

The Best Salt!
I first tried Cornish Sea Salt as part of a Tesco meal and quite liked it. I don't normally add any salt to food, partly because it's not very good for you and I don't like an overly salty taste to food. This tastes different to the processed salt that we probably all eat from time to time and I'm sure it's better for you containing various minerals. I bought the 500g tub for a friend of mine and was surprised at how large it was, I was expecting a small tub about a quarter of the size of the one that turned up!This is meant to be pinched and sprinkled on food rather than ground and I think it both looks and tastes better that way. Initially I thought that £6 for a tub of salt was a little on the pricey side but after seeing the size of the tub and knowing how good it tastes I would say that it's worth it's money. Something to be bought as a gift or as an occasional extravagance I think rather than a regular purchase, unless you're like me and don't eat a lot of salt. This tub should go a long way.

is all salt the same?
The simple answer is NO. Used this before and the consistency, as well as the taste, salt will enhance many dishes. I never used salt at all until the really hot days came along and then all the sweat forced me to sprinkle this on a fried egg. Bliss... you do not need to use a lot just enough to replenish your body's needs.

Lovely product and I agree with a lot of the other reviewers - it certainly is saltier, so a little goes a long way. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the salt was damp when it arrived (which would certainly explain why it is presented in a water proof container) but at no point in the description of this lovely salt did it say that it was a slightly damp salt - which sadly does not work in a salt mill. However, after drying out half the tub in the oven on a baking tray, it was great for the mill. Why only half you may ask? Simple, the other half can now be used for coarse sprinkling into stews and soups and ideal for baking that requires that lovely salty crunch on the outside.

Clean, crisp taste.
I know what you're probably thinking, it's just table salt right? Yes and no, the cheap kind is mined from underground salt deposits and has to undergo heavy processing to remove certain minerals and impurities before additives are added to prevent it from clumping. This type is about as natural as you're going to get, there's no bitterness and it's more forgiving if you add too much to whatever it is that you're cooking, there's a noticeable difference in flavour.I took away one star because the last batch I purchased had hard bits that wouldn't crumble as easily. I prefer Maldon Organic sea salt mainly because of it's flakier texture.
