These systema soup mugs are great value and hard-wearing. We use them on a daily basis for portioning up casseroles, Bolognese, soups and cooking beans in the microwave. They are just the right portion size for a quick meal. Easy to use, easy to wash (dishwasher ok) and have not leaked as yet. Remember to open the vent if re heating in the microwave. Great for storing cooked food such as sausages, chicken etc in the fridge.

This is brilliant, you can pop anything in it to microwave and it keeps it hot.

Great for my work. Can put soup or micro meals in it.

I see this as a heating vessel rather than serving, despite it being a mug, as such, and will always decant food into chinaware once hot/cooked. I have heated homemade soup, porridge, baked beans, hot chocolate and for cooking small amounts of veg; eg a couple of florets of broccoli with a small mount of water to create steam etc.Things I like;1/ a good capacity, 1/2 litre2/ a solid clip on lid that won't pop off in the microwave and prevents splashes inside the microwave3/ previously I have used ceramic/glass bowls and cling filmed....the container with lid is much easier than faffing about with cling film4/ an air vent to allow steam to escape and prevent explosions5/ a handle that does not get hot, makes removal from microwave easy (although you still need to take care when removing the lid)6/ dishwasher safeDislikes;1/ being plastic it does show signs of use...it gets super hot inside and being plastic it becomes marked....see photos...the marking is all inside and the outside has remained damage free...note; I have had the item four months and use quite regularly.

Very much like this range of microwave cookware. Easy to use, and easy to clean 👌 bought the mug for hot chocolate mainly, but will use it for soup also, 😋 have bowls from this range, will be buying more im sure. 😀

A truthful review - very useful and last a long time.We use these a lot and always have them on rotation. My wife is a nurse and often takes soup and other foods to work in these containers. You can pop them straight into the microwave, open the top vent and heat from there. Beware though, it IS a vent at the top, it opens, its never going to be 100% leak proof if you are shaking it around a lot. If you think this might be the case with you, perhaps consider a different container with a fully sealed lid. They last a long time as well and wash well in the dishwasher without discolouring.

Bought for my partner after her operation so she could microwave soup etc as she was unable to pick up easilly as she was right handed and was able to use her arm. Took an ordinary can of soup and the lid allowed it to heat without splattering in the microwave. Well made and designed. Have use it for other things as it is a great microwave container. Would recommend and are looking at buying some of their other containers for every day use.
