what you should do is call the Maserati dealer and have them cross reference the two air filters for the 2009 Quattroporte 4.2 VS the 2011 4.7Liter Grand Turismo. The BMC air filter FB546/20 FIT LIKE A GLOVE IN MY 2011 4.7 Liter Grand Turismo AIR BOX.

It’s hard to say. I had put in an aftermarket paper filter and I felt that it was better than that. I wouldn’t say it’s a huge difference at all but hey for a $140 filter I did get a hand written thank you note from the seller 😂
