I was looking for some dressy shoes to take when we travel abroad that wouldn't be too heavy, but would also provide some arch support. These arrived and were very cute, but I ordered a half size up based on other reviews and found that they were too big. Returning these and ordering my "true size".

This is a very pretty shoe in tan, however, I ordered the size all my other Vionics are: 8W. This shoe was at least 2-3 sizes too big - it was comically large. I checked the size stamped in the shoe and it said 8W. I likely won't reorder because it's a crapshoot to know how many sizes down to go. Plus, I believe the toe box is too short height-wise to be comfortable to me even if they fit.

Be aware that the black wedge heel does get scuff marks, that aren't very visible but permanent, if exposed to environmental hazards like people accidentally kicking you or your grocery cart getting out of control. Also, the fit was off a bit--thus the removal of a star. They look nice and with a heel insert they were comfortable enough for a work day that included walking, standing, and sitting. Basically the front of the shoe is a bit snug compared to the width of the heel. A smaller size would have meant an even snugger front but maybe the heel would have been less loose. [I purchased suede heel inserts on this site to fix the problem.] I wore them with dress pants but they would look nice with a skirt, maybe a dress. They are well made and the color is as shown--lovely shade of navy that matched a sweater. At least for me, I would not be able to walk much in these--okay for work though. They aren't geriatric in appearance.

The shoes are super shallow. The size 10 (which is what I wear) was way too big. The 9.5 fit but fell off too easily. The 9 was too small.They literally just fell off my heels with each step. I had such high hopes.

Ordered 7.5 eventhough I wear 8 and it was still a little big. Might keep them.

Super comfortable and easy to walk in

Vionic ortho shoes all are either too big or too small in my size 7 depending on the style.
