The vibes of the small town were immaculate ’ ★★★★★ 'This book makes my heart happy! ’ ★★★★★ ‘ The perfect kind of romance for me’ ★★★★★ Laurie Gilmore's book 'The Gingerbread Bakery' was a No.1 Sunday Times bestseller w/c 2025-09-15. Review: A very cozy and spicy holiday romance - I thought the book was a great one. It is the 3rd in the series. It is set in December and around Christmas. I loved it. I think that I like the 2nd one better. The vibes are cozy and have a hot chocolate read. I have the Paperback and the audio book. I listened to the audio book while I followed along with the paperback. I love the setting of the small town during Christmas. Kira picked up her life in Georgia to buy a Christmas Tree Farm even though she doesn't like Christmas. She was determined to be independent and prove to herself she can do it. At first, she was really annoyed when Bennet Ellis, Jeanie's brother, visiting from San Francisco for the holidays. Bennet swoops in to be her small town fix-it hero. That is until she realizes she may want to keep Ben around for other things. Bennet is Jeanie's brother so it was important to have read the first two books to get the full story. Another thing that I liked about this book was the dogs. The dogs were adorable. I am glad that she picked a pitbull breed in the book. This book is not a standalone holiday romance. It is worth picking up if you are in the mood for something festive with likable characters and a bit of humor. The book was in great condition when I got it. Review: PERFECTION PERFECTION PERFECTION - This one by far has been my favorite! I ate this book up!!! I even cried at the end. The only this is I wish I would have saved this book for Christmas! I loved Kira and Bennetts story! I loved Bennett from the first book so I just knew I was gonna love this one. Amazing and easy read!

My favorite Dream Harbor book!
As an interconnected standalone series, The Christmas Tree Farm by Laurie Gilmore is by far my favorite thus far! This spicy RomCom brings FMC Kyra and MMC Bennett to Dream Harbor. Kyra, having been "princess-ed her entire life, wants to go out on her own and price to herself and everyone else that she's capable. So, from Georgia, she moves to a place that has snowstorms. She randomly buys a Christmas tree farm. Things start becoming slightly problematic... Bennett, currently living in California, needs a break and decides to visit his sister in Dream Harbor. A beautiful woman, in his opinion, could use some handyman work around her Christmas tree farm. The only problem is, she thinks she doesn't need any help, and she doesn't want his! Read the book for grumpy x grumpy, winter storm, forced proximity, one bed, Golden retriever MMC who just wants to be needed, a strong FMC who just wants to finally be able to prove to everyone that she can do it. Spicy. Funny, Cozy Holiday read. Animal loving characters! Well written, Ms. Laurie Gilmore! Narrated by Regina Regan

Fun Read!
4.5⭐️ I loved Kira and Bennett! Kira buys a Christmas tree farm, but has no plans to sell trees until she realizes how much work her house needs and how little money she has left. Bennett is visiting his sister and walking his dogs on the tree farm when he meets Kira. They start a temporary fling knowing he was leaving after New Year’s, but both develop feelings. Another great story in this series. It has just enough humor, emotion and spice as well as great pacing.

Cozy holiday romance with spice
I just love the Dream Harbor series! They are some of my favorite cozy, smutty, small town romances (and we get two more in 2025!) In book three, we get to know Kira who recently picked up her life in Georgia to buy a Christmas tree farm in Dream Harbor even though she doesn’t really like Christmas. Determined to be independent and prove to herself she can do it, she is initially annoyed when Bennet Ellis, visiting from San Francisco for the holidays, swoops in to try to be her small town fix-it hero. That is until she realizes she may want to keep Ben around for *other* uses. This one is a cute, quick romance. Ben is Jeanie’s brother so it was important to have read the first two books to really get the full story; our side characters play some pretty big roles. I really liked learning about Ben and Kira’s backgrounds and why they are both somewhat resistant to falling for each other. But, they did lack the same amount of chemistry we are used to in the DH series - but I’m also biased bc I adored Hazel and Noah in book two. Read if you like: 🌶️ Hallmark holiday romance with spice 😒 Grinchy FMC ❤️ He falls first 💪 Strong independent FMC 🥮 Cinnamon roll MMC (we need a cinnamon roll emoji…)

One of my new favorite series!
This is a classic grumpy to sunshine trope Christmas romcom and I was so there for it! Laurie Gilmore has become my new auto buy / comfort author. Her books just feel like home and make me smile. I love the Dream Harbor setting and would love to be any one of the characters she writes about in this beloved town. Synopsis: Kira North hates Christmas, but that didn’t stop her from buying a Christma Tree Farm. She’s on a quest to make her own way after her twin sister deserted her after getting married and leaving the country. Logan who is visiting his sister Jeanie for the holidays inadvertenly tresspases on her property during a walk with his three adorable dogs. Kira is beyond irritated at this stranger who is compelled to fix the rundown farmhouse that she has just purrchased. Slowly Kira begins to see what a catch Logan is but she’s n ot ready to settle down and neither is he because after the holidays he’ll be returning to his life on the west coast. My thoughts: I can’t get enough of this series! I loved the banter between Kira and Logan and the spciy ways they spent being snowed in. lEven though these books have a lot of spice there is always a lot of heart betweent the characters and always a grand gesture that I love!

Fun but expected
Bad summary: Nesta buys a Christmas tree farm. Read for: 🎄 Cozy Christmas vibes 🎄 Rich girl gets poor 🎄 Grumpy x sunshine 🎄 Small town 🎄 Snowed in 🎄 Must love dogs The Christmas Tree farm features a prickly, hyperindependent girly who falls for the sweet, supportive guy. And I’m sorry, but the whole book I was picturing these two as Nesta and Cassian because it’s like if their personalities were copy-pasted into a contemporary romance. Overall, it’s a lighthearted read that progresses just as you think it will. There’s nothing new or much depth here, but it’s still a fun holiday romp. Side note that I’d recommend an eyeball read over audiobook. The narrator sounded like she was much older than the character, which was distracting. ⭐️: 3/5 🌶️: 2/5

Enchanting and Romantic
This story takes place in the magical town of Dream Harbor. Its a part of the Dream Harbor series Kira North a rich spoilt brat who has never had gratitude for the privileges she had in her life ends up owning a Christmas Tree Farm far far away from her parents just to prove that she is reliable and capable to achieve something meaningful without any help. Bennett Ellis who has a tendency of helping people is on vacation in the town visiting his adorable sister Jenney the owner of Pumpkin Spice Cafe.. ♥️♥️ It’s Christmas and the magic is sparkling in the air when these two dejected souls meet and sparks fly in all directions.. 🎄🎄 I loved how these two characters have matured in the story.. they meet, the story doesn’t rush and they eventually explore their relationship, open up to each other and not to mention the spice which keeps the romance reader blushing through out.. 🥰🥰. I also loved how these two characters managed to learn from their past mistakes and believed in their decisions. The ending is not rushed and gives the storyline the perfect amount of depth. Add this to your holiday reads and make it more sparkly 🎄🎄♥️♥️🎄🎄. Hope my Bookstagram fam had the perfect Christmas.. 🎅 🎄♥️

Five (spicy) stars for a heartwarming book!
"I realized, maybe too late, that being independent doesn’t have to mean being alone." I dove into this book expecting a typical holiday story, but the author completely surprised me. Kira isn’t the picture-perfect protagonist—she’s a little grumpy, a little guarded, and after a lifetime with her sister by her side, she’s thrown herself into an adventure she’s not quite sure she can handle alone. Then there’s Bennett, who’s made his own mistakes and isn’t eager to repeat them, despite his natural “rescuer” instinct. But somehow, they both find a way to set aside their fears and move forward together. I absolutely loved Jeanie, Iris, and all the other friends who welcomed Kira and helped her see that being independent doesn’t mean you can’t ask for help—and that sometimes, asking for help is a sign of maturity, a way of recognizing that some things just aren’t possible alone. 5 (spicy) stars for a story that warms your heart like a cozy fireplace on Christmas Eve.
